PetFirst Healthcare Pet Insurance

We adopted a pet on a Thursday evening. I took the pet to my vet on Friday she was diagnosed with kennel cough. We activated the insurance with Pet First on the following Tuesday (Mon. was a holiday). The next weekend after activation, the pet past away due to pnuemonia. Pet First refuses to reimburse us because they are saying kennel cough was the first sign of pneumonia and it was a preexisting condition. We spent over $1500 trying to save this shelter dog and only had her 12 days. It would have been nice is Pet First would have made an exception on our case and sympathized with use a little. We have our other dog covered under Pets Best Ins. and they are wonderful to work with. I highly recommend them. Not these guys!
