Choosing One Star As There Are No Lower Options
My brand new Boardman bike got stolen from the bike racks outside the block of flats where I live. I thought I was being clever and locked the bike at the racks just outside the security office. There was CCTV evidence of the guy stealing my bike, the lock which had been cut, had police cad number, well everything you'd expect. I was terribly hurt that my property had been stolen, but took comfort in the fact that I had insured my bike. Made my claim, waited and waited and waited. Days followed by weeks followed by months, then I decided to ring E&L to find out what was going on with my claim. I spoke to a very rude woman who had no shred of sympathy at all. She asked me for my policy number and then bluntly said:

DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND GET INSURANCE SOMEWHERE ELSE, I AM TOTALLY CONVINCED THIS COMPANY HAVE A POLICY IN PLACE NEVER TO PAY OUT ON ANY CLAIM.
I HAD TO FIGHT THEM ALL THE WAY, I'M SURE OTHERS WOULD HAVE GIVEN UP WHICH IS WHAT THEY WANT.

After 3 Months And £75 For A Police Report E
After 3 months and £75 for a police report E&L are now saying that they are not going to pay out because my bicycle was stolen from a communal shed with no sign of forcible entry.
Using the phone to contact these people is a waste of time. Do not use these people.
I Had A Bike Stolen That Was Insured With E &
I had a bike stolen that was insured with E & L Insurance a month ago. The household insurance paid immediately for cheaper bikes also stolen, but E & L are dragging their heels. They asked for 2 quotes, quotes on repairs to garages, witnesses, remains of locks etc etc. I have given them everything they have requested despite the hassle, and I have still not had a pay out.
