I renewed my home insurance with one call operator who was very good ,quick and efficient. She dealt with my query with regards to a better cheaper quote with another company by offering me a better price on my renewal. The safe payment side of things was dealt with efficiently aswell . I rang up to change my card details as my previous card had been cloned,and as a result I needed to change my details. The first time I got through I was rudely hung up on. Luckily the second time I got through to the advisor KW 9 and she was very courteous and very helpful in assisting me in changing my details

OK, we are ALL fed up with having to change our car insurance every year because they ALL hike your insurance quote the following year after you insure with them. Or DO they. I have suddenly found one who DOES NOT! And they should be commended for that alone.

Last year I changed my car insurance (usual reason, no claims, no problems, huge hike in renewal cost) to Renew Insurance (renewinsurance.com).

I started the usual hunt for car insurance BEFORE I got my renewal letter this year (so I could tell them where to stuff it when I got the renewal notice because I had found a cheaper quote) and the renewal duly arrived - and was a few pounds LESS than last year. AND it was a good and inexpensive insurance to start with.

Now, OK I cannot believe this will last and will re-post here next year to report on next year's renewal.

However, has anyone else had renewal costs hiked by them when there has been no claims or problems? It is good that we all share information about who hikes renewals - if we also share the names of those who do NOT hike renewals and treat customers fairly (and mention we've seen reports of such bad behavior to companies that canvas us for our business) then maybe we can teach the rouges there is a better way. Just my pipe-dream I suppose.

Anyway, well done Renew - long may it continue (I'll keep you posted).
