Took My Money, Left Me In Debt. Failed Me! I Had T

Took my money, left me in debt. Failed me! I had to start again after 3 years of paying out to them. Trusting them.

Do Not Use - Absolute Nightmare

I signed up to TDR and was misinformed from day one, they sell you a dream that they can help you.

I was in £15k debt for many different reasons. 6 years later Im still in £9k after paying £320 per month, they have kept my money back, no one ever comes back to me - especially I have asked for copies of recording, emailed and called and never hear back ever. The plan 'comes to and end' you dont get back whats in arrears to settle and your left with the debtors coming back knocking at your door and calling as TDR just stop paying.

Please do not go with this company you will end up worse off! I'm happy they are being investigated!

!! Don't Use !! - Under Investigation

Don't use this company! They are currently under investigation by the FCA and liquidators are dealing with the millions of pounds that they are 'holding' for their customers.

I was £8k in debt when I started using them in 2015. My debt management plan came to an end in June 2018 and I have now received a letter from the FCA regarding their concerns. The money I paid to TDR over the last 3 years hasn't been paid to my creditors so I am back in the same place as I was 3 years ago.

I am now having to use another debt management plan (through the Money Advice Service so I know they're legitimate) and I don't have much hope of seeing my money that I paid to TDR ever again.

Hi. I’m under their plan at the moment. But I really would like to speak someone who gone through whole process with them. Is there any chance you could speak to me ?

Debt Management Made Easy

When you are in debt, it makes it really difficult to think positively & see an end to the problem. Whilst being with Total Debt Relief for a little under a year they have managed to secure the settlement of 2 of my 4 outstanding debts which is a massive weight off my mind & I honestly don't think I would have managed to have done the same without them.

The team are always on hand to answer questions, particularly Joannah Holness, who has known who I am, & what my situation is, no matter when I call or email her, I don't feel like I'm talking to a random, different, person where I have to explain myself each time.

Thank you!

My Experience With Tdr. A Positive Experience.

A pity that we cant comment on the people that have dealt with our case.Without exception, they have all been non judgemental, informative, concise, supportive and empathatic with a high degree of professionalism. Over the two years of this plan, contact as been excellent and any queries that I raised where answered quickly and satisfactory. The review process was painless and the two early settlements were very impressive and a spectacular result! There are few negatives about this whole procedure. It is probably not the most cost effective way of addressing this issue, but I was aware of the cost and it was my choice to enrol with you. It has proved to be the right choice for me,completed satisfactorily in a little under two years with really positive results.Good communication and transparency throughout. Out of all the information given both written and verbally, the only negative that occurred, was that my understanding of the plan was that my credit rating was not going to be affected. Possibly coincidental, but my overdraft from my bank of 12yrs was suddenly withdrawn, no reason, not been abused, in fact not really used.Again I am struggling to find a real negative. The staff I dealt with where all totally professional and competent. I would recommend The services of TDR without any doubt to anyone in my previous position. Thank You.

Hi I don't really want to be negative about them at this point . As truly they have been helpful over the phone and the pressure was lifted off me making me better for the past year. And yes it's been a year but no debt had been settled so far from all 5 I enrolled.

vasamoah

Hi, please can you advise me on how to pay this off yourself please ? I am also concerned that nothing is really getting paid off

thanks

craighughes

I am glad things are going better for you now. I too was in a similar situation and went to total debt relief. However, NO money is really being paid off! they took half of the monthly payments and paid £2 pounds off the Debts. I have left them now and have paid a few debts off at a settlement which you can do without them.

They did give me a lot of false hope and the calls stopped and the pressure was eased but this is only a short term measure.

I'm Now Free Thanks To Total Debt Relief

After consulting in other agency's (step change, Harrington Brookes), I finally found a company that actually got the results with professional curtesy And advise. I was in 61k of debt which really destroyed me life, my marriage was about to desolve and I fell into a state of depression losing my children and my job, I was at rock bottom. With their help and commitment I finally pulled myself off the ground and tackled the problem. I found total debt relief through a friend, at first I didn't think they would help. They have changed my life, I am now seeing my children and am working on my marriage. Thank you total debt relief for all you have done, without your help I wouldn't be where I am today.

its great that life is better now that the pressure of the debt has lifted in the short term, which does really affect your life. I also suffered similarly.

30% sett 40% settlement

amount debt 15000 15000 15000 5000 6000

money paid 450 200 3 200 200

Mnths settle 33 75 5000 25 30 Months to settle

looking broadly at my debt of 15k I could clear at 33 months with the 450 I was paying. taking out their charges total would be 75 months unless they get a settlement figure, settling at 30% (which they never did with me) would be 25 months at 40% it Would be 30 months !

if I used the 450 per month and then contacted Creditors and settled at 40% then it is 13 months!!!!!! Nb - I have recently done this!

They also have £2000 of my account that I don't know when I will get back also I have heard other people have the same issue!

I hope you get debt free I am finding it hard but when things settle and you have a clearer mind and can give this attention do the figures..they cannot do anything we cant and are just taking money !

Prey On The Weak

Too long to go into but the point....do not use this company they prey on people who are in trouble financially and all the stress that brings !!

i was in a bad position and was 35k in debt "settle for 30%" sounds good "dont let the banks get away with it!"

started paying 450 PM they pay £2 to each debtor until your account builds up and they pay at 30% or less (not guaranteed) some bills have been settled but looking at the amounts might as well just paid. taking into account the fees. was told that if you had lumps sums pay them in and no fee..so i asked for a settlement -- 20k !! that means i owe 60k!!

There have been "changes" in the company ! im not sure if the money i have in my so called account ill get back.

this is my mistake..based on the fact i got into a debt trap (my own doing) the stress and everything else (and the calls) led me to this.

there is no one to blame but me... i hope that people read this and have the strength to sort out (i was desperate at the time)

this is not the answer .....everything has to be paid for in the end...but not these taking a cut too

Vultures and sycophants are the only words to describe these people

its hard - but this to will pass - these wont help!

Hi, was you able to come out of plan and get your money back from TDR

craighughes

I dont know what is happening with TDR sorry, but i dont think madison legal exist anymore. They have money of mine that a solicitors arebtrying to get back.

I hope this helps and good luck

Cassieh198i

My partner is with them at present, he recently paid them a very large amount of money to settle with the debtors. Problem is, we can't get in touch with them or madison legal. We're worried sick. Do you know what's going on or how we can contact them?

craighughes

I know exactly what you mean. They also have 1900 of my money too! apparently its "insured" I did get the details of solicitors dealing with it. but they want all sorts of account information to investigate. they didn't seem like they knew what was going on!

I cancelled my agreement got back what was in my account and contacted the creditors and paid a couple of debts of at 35%.

I was paying them 450 per month..I hope more people read this and don't make the same mistakes.

its a very hard time when debts get out of control - but with the amount of money they charge the discounts they get are only the same as going with step change and debts are settled in full. so at they end of the day will cost the same!
