Contacted Debtlegal back in September following the loss of my job and owing approximately £20,000 on loans and credit card payments. I was receiving a number of letters from my creditors demanding there money back so I contacted Debtlegal. Once Debtlegal took over and I sent these letters to them which prevented me receiving any further demands as they explained We were starting bankruptcy procedures which took all the pressure away from me.

Following the absence of the first adviser I was given another adviser who was up to speed with my case. All paperwork was completed within a few weeks but I delayed procedures by apply for medical retirement which I received in January 2014 so my bankruptcy application had now turned in to paying back my creditors which Debtlegal then took over. Debtlegal contacted all of my creditors to agree a final settlement and also dealt with the payments following me transferring the monies to Debtlegal.

From start to finish it was done in strictest confidants and I also received weekly updates on my position via phone and email.

I wish I could name my advisor as he's been totally brilliant thoughout my ordeal and it took so much pressure away from me in which was a very difficult time for me. Thank you Debtlegal.

I just want to thank debt legal for all their help. I am a single mum with 2 kids, and due to illness and then a reduction in hours at work just couldn’t afford the silly pay day loans I had taken out. I was being harassed by them and wonga even took money out of my account. I made a request on the internet for some debt advice and they called me straight away. The adviser i spoke to was so sympathetic and helpful, he was very clear how debt management worked and by the end of the call i must admit i did feel an awful lot better. I made an internet enquiry looking for some help with some outstanding bills. 5 Minutes later a chap called Henry called me from a company called Debt Legal.

He took some details from me and ran through a list of options that would be best suited to my situation.

I have gone for the debt management solution at the moment. I thought I made the wrong decision as after a few weeks i was being bombarded with Phonecalls and text messages from the people I owed money to. I don’t really know where to start but i did promise the lady for weeks know that i would go on the internet and write a review of my experience with the firm and the advisors. I don’t think i should put my Debt advisors name down on here from Debtlegal as it’s not fair on her. She has been so patient and helpful with me at the young age of 47 i really struggle with my health and have various medical problems. Since my Husband passed away everything with my finances managed to get out of hand to the point i was frightened to leave the house i made a few enquiries on the internet to try and get some debt advice and i had a call from Debtlegal, i explained to the debt advisor that i had spoken to several companies and just was not able to do the paperwork myself and needed a full assistance but i was not going to pay high fees for the service. She took down what all the other company’s wanted to charge to manage the debts and set up arrangements and she halved all of the payments. I received the paperwork the following day plus a call from the Debtadvisor she helped with the small details and i just sent back all of the post and from there i received some letters from her confirming agreements were being set up and that i should have everything fixed within a few weeks once payment had cleared. a bit hesitant as this was a big step for me but i received a statement and some letters from the creditors acknowledging agreements and everything debtlegal where doing in a debt management plan for me. I would like to say a big big thank you to the lady on the phone and i feel as though i am starting to live again.
