No1 Currency Foreign Currency Exchange

I was looking to purchase some US dollars for a trip to Florida, and after comparing exchange rates online I found No1 Currency to offer the best rates. I decided to go for the home delivery option(free delivery included if you spend over £750) and ordered my money on their website choosing my delivery date. The purchase was made using my debit card(again no fees) and I was emailed straight away to confirm my order was being processed. The next day I received an email my order had been dispatched via Royal Mail special delivery and would arrive guaranteed before 1pm on my delivery date. I received my order on my chosen date as promised before 1pm.Not only did I get a fantastic service I got a brilliant variety of notes a good mixture of 10's 20's and 50's.All in all a very satisfying experience from a great company.

I travel alot and I find the banks a pain long queues etc. I was delighted when I heard about No.1 Currency, I prebooked my euros on line and called into the store the next day to collect them. I found the rates excellent better than the banks and the staff were lovely I would really recommend them if you need currency for travelling you should visit their website, they even have a comparison table to show you what you are saving!!

I purchased several different currencies including roubles for my visit to Moscow with other monies being used by my son en route to China. Great rates - in fact the best rates we could find. Great service - the money was dispatched quickly and with us in a couple of days.

On my return from Russia I found I had 1800 roubles left so rang your company. Brilliant! First of all the phone was answered by a very efficient and pleasant lady who gave me the same rate as I had purchased the roubles at, suggested how I sent the money back and that was that.

Within 4 days of sending the roubles back, my bank had been reimbursed with the money. So impressed was I that I actually sent a "thank you" email.

I needed to transfer funds to the USA and first tried 2 banks and a London based money transfer company. None of them compared with No1 Currency who offered the best rate, helped me through the process and funds arrived the same day my transfer hit their account. A couple of friends are now using them and all say the same - excellent service.

Don't use them.... I asked them about safety of my currency during transfer... I could not get a straight answer.. They are not FSA registered so they appear to have similar protection to crown currency( who lost clients thousands)

I have used this company for years for regular and one-off transfers from the UK to a Greek bank. Their predecessors 'The Xchange Business' were good but No 1 Currency Exchange are lazy, sloppy and expensive. There is no understanding of customer service. They have just DOUBLED their fees so I am going to move to another company.

I notice they now have online cash...... As someone that tried to use it I would suggest you dont bother trying it.

They cant even get their online cash purchase to work properly, I tried and the thing kept on failing and is extremely limited....

my advice: if you want to buy currency online, dont bother using them, use a more professional organisation who are able to beat the rate and provide a less restrictive service

Their marketing literature is very very misleading (quite clearly their marketing guru feels lying is the only way they can do business)...... 'Rates which are hard to beat' what a lot of rubbish....... It should really be 'Rates which are easy to beat'

There are cheaper alternatives on the high street. Places like Tesco, Cheque Centre and the like all beat these guys. My advise would be to shop around.
