Because Of The First National Bank Of Marin, I As

Because of the First National Bank of Marin, I as a single parent, am unable to qualify for a home loan, to obtain a home for my kids. They kept charging me fees after you cancel the card. When you prove to one collection agency that the balance is paid in full, First National Bank of Marin sends it to another collection agency and the cycle starts over again.

Sorry Is The Only Word That Comes To Mind When I H

Sorry is the only word that comes to mind when I hear First National Bank of Marin. Because of my credit history I was treated as a common criminal when someone stole my identity and charged a card up. They would not even try to help. They were rude and nasty.

Do No Business With Credit One Bank Or Bank Of Mar

Do no business with Credit One Bank or Bank of Marin. I opened my "Secured" account in 2002 and used it to buy a $215 power saw. Not only did I give them $600 to secure the card, with monthly charges the fees added to about $179 per year. I tried to cancel the card but was transferred on the phone to a extension that just said all agents are busy please hold. Frustrated, I called the main number and asked for a manager and cancelled my card with her. I paid the balance, check by phone and that was it. Or so I thought. 4 years later (about 2 months ago) I got a $1500 bill from Credit One Bank for late fees. The bank sent the bill to Niagra Credit Services, who call 3 times a week literally screaming into our answering machine to pay "or else." Today I called back and spoke to a to a guy in customer service . When I told him I wasn't paying another dime the call turned into a scene from the Breakfast Club where the bad kid keeps getting days added to his suspension.

Here is how it went.

CS: So you wont pay us the $1500?

Me: No but I'll settle for $600

Cs: I can mark your credit report if you don't pay me.

Me: $600.

CS: I just took 20 points off your FICA. Wanna try again? $1500

Me: $600

CS: I just took 20 more points off . Act like a man, and we can resolve this.

Me: I am acting like a man ...[HANGS UP ON ME]

I Have To Say I Don't Have One Single Thing To Say

I have to say I don't have one single thing to say good about this credit card company and I hope anybody about to get this credit card reads this and other post you all have posted, here's me story of this scheme to get money out of people! One day I was reading the paper and saw an add for this credit card all you have to do is send this 50.00 dollars and they'll send you up to a 5000.00 credit limit " first mistake " you never trust a credit card company that wants money first and I finally got the card after waiting a month and a half and went to call to activate it and I OWED the card 500.00 I called a rep. and spoke with her and she told me there was this fee and that fee and you pay this off and you might get a 400.00 credit limit " MIGHT" I told her to cancel the card and I was refusing to pay this amount after I sent them 50.00 and after about 2 months I got a letter in the mail telling me I owed again 751.00 and to make a long story short it's been 2 and a half years now and I'm getting letters from attorneys saying there gonna sue me and the credit bureau calling asking for it and I tell everybody the same thing " DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH" so if your one that's thinking about getting this card think twice cause all of us in this post just might save your credit!

I Make My Monthly Credit Card Payments Online Thro

I make my monthly credit card payments online through my banks bill pay option. One month, FNBN aka: Credit One Bank said my payment was late, and I was charged a late fee. My banks online payment proved that my payment was not late, and showed my payment was received and cleared nine days before the payment was due. My bank contacted First National Bank of Marin aka: Credit One Bank, and the late fee was removed. If possible, always pay your account online through YOUR banks online bill pay. NEVER use the FNBM aka: Credit One Bank online payment option.

It is not a good option.

The Biddles

I Was Contacted By Mail From A Representation Of F

I was contacted by mail from a representation of First National Bank of Marin regarding opening a secured credit card account with them. They kept calling me to see if I wanted to received a credit card and to send the papers back. Each month my payments were on time, since I processed it over the phone, and for that, they not only took the funds immediately out of my checking account, but also charged me an extra $5.00 processing fee to do so. They also charged me an extra $29.00 because of a late charge. I called and asked them to send me their credit card (never got one). So how was I going to use the money to make purchases, etc.? I called the bank and tried to cancel and get a refund. They said that I was not entitled to a refund and I could not cancel. I owed the debt to them, and if I did not pay it they would turn me over to collection, and it would really hurt my credit and credit rating. They were very unhelpful, and they would hang up on me and continually say I could not cancel even in writing.

So I say what debt? It was my money that they had, and they had the opportunity to collect the interest during that time. The bank did not use their own money. So how do they figure that I owed them? The only thing that I received is a bad credit rating, and it is still hurting me to this day. I even tried to dispute it with the credit bureaus, and the bank said that the debt is still owed to them. I have never received my money back. I would like to know who got to use my money. Will I ever get my money returned (close to 800.00)? I do get the benefit of hearing from the collection agencies. So sign me up on the dotted line again - NOT! And they call it a secured credit card! Now when I try to call them and ask why they do not return my money and take it off my credit reports, I just get a busy signal.

My ex-wife got the First National Bank of Marin credit card in both our names and I cancelled 2 days later. I never used it, and 9 years later it's still on my credit report as a charge for non-payment.

The First National Bank Of Marin Charge Late Fees

The First National Bank of Marin charge late fees when not late. I requested, after three years, a credit limit increase, which was denied. I went online and paid it off. They are now trying to charge me a late fee.

Same Here, I Pay My Account Every Month Online At

Same here, I pay my account every month online at the same time. All of a sudden First National Bank of Marin charge me $29.00 and say that I made my payment late. I asked if they could wave the late charge because I have never made a late payment and they refused. If they need the $29.00 so bad they can have it. I have since cancelled my credit card and I can only hope that they go bankrupt! lolol
