Fantastic First Aid Training

I had my Emergency First Aid at work training in Kingston. The course was nice and informative. He shared some real life experiences with us. I enjoyed the course and easily passed the exam just by listening during the course. I would recommend this course to whoever needs it.

At The End Of The Day And As I Have Been In The Se

At the end of the day and as I have been in the security industry for well over 25 years before the change was made about a license system, it’s all about money £ from the corrupt SIA organisation taking money off people every 3 years to letting any Tom dave harry or anyone who’s never done security or just arrived in the country get training get a badge and that’s it. Those of us from before the licensing system had to have a 10 or 20 year background check do the long hours but now it’s open house season and the village idiots are free and loose. So Get Licensed don’t tell you everything from the start they give false information and grab your money and run. After they have your money then they tell you about e-learning that have to complete before you the course a stupid video of yourself too many requirements. The place you do the training is not their headquarters but some hideous run down building that everyone is using for all sorts with strict rules with no outside view a kitchen so small you can’t swing a car two toilets in one room which has to be shared by both sex’s. You are told be there for 8am don’t be late you be allowed in however on the front door of the entrance it says 0830 when the receptionist comes to start working, the building itself is not in good condition. The course is not easy so much is cramped in it’s far too much. There asking you to be a paramedic a police officer a lawyer for too much in relation to the rewards of front line door supervisor security where you are at risk of attack insults violence being stabbed or bottled or even possibly as the trainer said about one guy he knows acid attack which destroyed his entire face. Lovely and are you allowed to defend yourself to all the degenerates you will encounter apparently only reasonable force anything more the wonderful good old SIA will takeaway your license for protecting and defending yourself wonderful. So why did they bring in the SIA and the licensing system it because the doormen (bouncers) on the night clubs were getting a little too heavy handed and doing too much bouncing just for the hell of it. There not security now and never was they were not in any way security staff in the retail side or office buildings, just like a night watchman was just that some old bloke on a building site or warehouse or factory premises all totally different. But again because of the overly aggressive doormen of old suddenly we were all lumped together into security and all now because of those guys we have the license system. They will say it is because of unregistered and security firms in the old definitely not there was a few them about. What we really have is a government interference to control the industry for  financial gain and to make sure G4 get all nice little government contracts under both labour and conservative’s example prisons and the 2012 Olympic Games. It’s a case of connections friendships and who you know the old boy network. Proper security old style one of the last of the old generation.

Appalling

My experience was one of very poor training, in which our whole course had to resit part of the practical examination because it wasn’t assessed or taught properly. The delay, due to incompetent training cost many on the course £1000’s in lost income.

The after-course support was a complete joke. Our whole course had issues contacting them, and when we did we were lied to, fobbed off or ignored.

I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone. If you need an SIA licence, go elsewhere and hopefully you’ll get more professionalism than we did.

Sia Top Up Course

Very unprofessional and rude. To start the trainer turned up late. A husband and wife team completing the training which to start was not the best. I actually felt sorry for the husband. His wide jumping up and down shouting at students and speaking to older people and calling them stupid. I have never experienced anything like it.

Avoid this company! Manchester based couse. I would NOT recommend!

Unprofessional

I would like to share my experience attending Get Licensed courses on 18th -20th January , Croydon. 8am -6pm

I’ve paid £250 for a course and expected to get full service too.

On 18th January students were asked to attend to a course at 8am, unfortunately our trainer Aron G Welsh, came 1 hour late. Which I felt is so disrespectful. He did apologies, but I think if he knew he has early course he could book a hotel in Croydon to manage attend on time, as all the students paid for the course.

Also, all the course seemed rushed all the information was given in no time, maybe because he was late. Course finished earlier than 6pm

On 19th January trainer managed to come on time, but again course was rushed and trainer was trying to sell courses, golden packages and handcuff training, which was £50 cash. The certificate fir handcufs is made on word. Basic also apparently company on certificate dosent exist- i was told .He was selling these courses while teaching, not on our brakes or after brake but meanwhile teaching. Also advertising his amazon book he wrote, asked to buy. Really unprofessional.

20th January test day. Practical and two tests.

Practical part went ok, after the practical test he was packing up. Gave his QR codes to us to buy next course through him.

Said- if anyone will write about me bad review, I know all the people In industry and will make sure you will not going to get a job. (After saying it’s just a joke) but I felt so uncomfortable.

As I have golden package already and I’m glad I did buy as I didn’t pass CCTV operator test, however I practice my mock tests and can pass 100% , there were questions on the test our trainers never covered. So unhappy- regret the day I bought this course also after putting my review I know there is no guarantee I'll get the job ...

Warning Door Supervisor Top Up Training

Warning - Door Supervisor Top Up Training

Did the top up training course for door supervisors but was unsuccessful in passing unit 2 - principles of using equipment as a door supervisor. The pass marks is 80% and has 5 multiple choice questions that anyone with any level of common sense could pass. Failing this would mean I had to fail at least 2 out of the 5 questions.

Having worked in the security industry for over 30 years in multiple security roles and educated to a masters level this deeply concerned me. After diplomatically emailing Get Licenced for exam feedback was told they dont provide any. Then contacted the SIA and the awarding body (Laser Learning Awards) who passed it back to the training provider. Zero transparency and feedback. My only option was to pay a £90 resit as there are no other options available as I didnt spend extra on their "Gold level" for unlimited resits!

Went to the specified venue for the resit along with another student but nobody was there. The venue didnt know anything about Get Licenced booking them. Furthermore both of us had no email or communication about a change of venue. After numerous attempts to contact Get Licenced was told about another venue.

Sat the resit again and gave the same obvious answers as before. I passed the resit!

I feel totally sham by this company and I'm certain that the fail was due to either the computer reading the results or deliberate human error, plus the very poor communications and lack of feedback and transparency. Would not recommend them so be warned and careful.

Furthermore it's an absolute disgrace that the SIA and companies like Get Licenced expect door supervisors to pay £400 (licence £190, training course £120, resit £90) when the average wage in the industry is £10-12 per hour and a significant number work part time at the weekends for 10 to 12 hours. It's hardly surprising that the industry is in the state it is in currently, compared to 20 or 30 years ago!

Be warned. Would not recommend.

Admitted Breaching Dpr And Was Allowed To Do The Course

The Worst training of my life.

Men in the classroom talking in depth about sexual activity with Women. How they would attack transgender people. My trainer asked not to be handed Statements that look like they were written by a Mongeloid. I then had to endure discussion's in the rest area where there were children walking through of how this group of men want to exploit Women to get them masturxxxing on monitors. This was a very aggresive Toxic Masculinity, displayed just after the same man admitted his Social Worker (other half )breaches DPR regular and thier Police Friends turn a blind eye. Im on the course learning that the Sia want Integrity, Honesty and Protection from vulnerable people which include young Women yet the trainer somehow thought this admittance and character was acceptable as he was never asked to leave the course and will soon beable to watch you all through a CCTV system. I can no longer belive there are any safe areas in any security system while there are Men ( creatures) like this hiding in it...old boys club cover ups....accept they are 45 and under!!.

Please Everyone Before Booking A Course With Them

Please everyone before booking a course with them search elsewhere. I have booked a Door supervisors course with them before and they turned my staff away because he had a digital first aid certificate and they wanted a paper copy.

I have now booked as CCTV course and I have a surgery on the day of the course and they are asking for a £150 rebooking fee which is same as paying another company for the course.

Please stay away from them. Go elsewhere they are horrible to deal with. These people give the industry and horrible. I am a trainer and my centre never charges people for rebooking fees we just reschedule as long as you notify us a week before the course starts.
