Colour Consultancy - Limperts Academy

I was a bit undecided when I read other reviews about the design e-cademy but I went for it anyway and im really glad I did. The positives are: The student support team were really quick at getting back to any queries I had. The lessons were informative and interesting. The assignments were challenging but fun. The only bad point is they took double to time to mark my final assignment, I handed it in before Christmas 2015 and I have only today got my grade back. My tutor wasn't very quick at responding, but he did always respond. Overall I had a good experience and would definitely consider using the design e-cademy again.

Did the color course about 5 years ago and found it great. There is work and it is a bit challenging - you have to be pretty motivated. The tutors were always very supportive and I felt I achieved valuable skills by the time I finished. They put a lot of emphasis on quality of presentation and technical skills and that has paid off. I get a lot of comments on the professionalism of my work. One of my friends told me about this site so I finally decided to leave a review.

I work and have two children so the Colour Consultancy Course was the perfect solution for me as I can do it online. I was nervous about enrolling as I have seen some negative reviews, but honestly, they have been great. Any questions I have are answered within a few hours, unless it's over the weekend, which is fair enough... I have also had a skype call with my tutor which really helped. I am loving this course, it is just what I was looking for.

I am doing this course online and it fits in with my job. I can still work and do further training. THe course allows you to apply colour to whatever discipline you want...fashion, interior etc. It is giving me a really good idea of the science of colour and how we can use it to enhance our lives. I have always been interested in colour and the effect that it has on us as humans and this course is really helping me to understnad this. I am enjoying the course and learning alot. Any questions I ask get answered very quickly. Overall - I am pleased i took it.

I am currently undertaking the HNC in Interior Design with The Design Ecademy. I have to say that I am really impressed with the support I am receiving. They are always very helpful and get back to you super quick. At the moment i work as an accountant and I've always dreamed of being an interior designer. I am enjoying the course and may go on to do the HND. I would recommend this course to others.

I just finished this colour consultancy course and received a distinction on my final project. I am a website and graphic designer and I'm already seeing the benefits of this in my work. I try to do at least one course every year to keep myself fresh and up to date and I like online courses as they fit perfectly to my schedule. I've done a few online courses so I can make an honest comparison and this is the best I have done so far. I loved the fact that the assignments had choices so I could use examples that were appropriate to me as a graphic designer. My tutor was very supportive and the feedback was fair. At the beginning I was a bit disappointed as I didn't do as well as I wanted but the feedback was encouraging and told me how to improve. I feel I have really learned and benefited from this approach and I will return to The Design Ecademy to another course next year.

There is an explanation for all of this discontent and that is the owner. She fires people at random if they won't kowtow to her in order to create a climate of fear. Even constructive feedback from tutors politely pointing out typos in the material sends her into a screaming rage. She spends staff meetings giving speeches about herself. If you watch the video on Design Ecademy you will notice that she spends the entire time talking about herself rather than actually discussing course content. There is of course mention of unnamed tutors in the promo but that is just so she has someone to blame for failure. It is also my understanding that the Dublin location closed without notice and all of the employees were locked out and not paid. She, whose name cannot be uttered is a narcissistic crackpot. Invest your money and time somewhere that will respect you and follow through.

Save your money and go else where. Very helpful until all fees paid then couldn't care less.

Tutor kept changing, impossible to contact. Definitely not good value and student support is non existent. They do not follow up student progress or bother whether you are keeping on track even when they have been made aware of a temporary problem. Then to extend course costs yet more money.

In the end wrote it all off to a bad experience. I enrolled prior to them becoming an ecademy so modules were in hard copy. Not much to them that you couldn't get from a good book which doesn't cost thousands.

don't even bother looking at this school. The work load is minimum, anything they give you, you can find on the internet if not more! the support is poor, the answers take forever, and the main lady or whatever is rude and not at all authoritative. this school takes way too much money for nothing really. Personally looking to do another course somewhere else to actually be taught!!

I enrolled into the Limperts Academy in 2011, I was very excited about it. With that in mind, I didn't do as much research about the school as I should have. I regret ever signing up for their interior design program. At the beginning they were very helpful; answering all my emails asap, phone calls, etc. Till the minute you pay all your fees, they disappear as fast as your money did. They're bankrupt!!! This school won't last long. Please don't sign up with them! I am still dealing with them to get some justice, and I will assign my lawyer if it keeps going. I would love to say some good things, but really.... there isn't. Hope this saves a few peoples wallet.
