This is quite simply rumors being spread by a certain other industry website. umbrelladetective.com does have a director that is also a director of an umbrella company but it is a stand alone company with a confidentiality agreement in place between the two. NO communication has ever been sent out by this umbrella company to ANY umbrelladetective.com members and more importantly never will be. We hope this puts to bed any uncertainty.

How can Umbrella Detective be an unbiased source of opinion when it is owned by an umbrella company? They are very clever in that they get other umbrella companies to ask their contractors to vote for them, then Umbrella Detective simply adds the contractor's details to their own umbrella company database and starts sending them emails with special offers. It is simply a glorified marketing website, but one where the competition actually help them out!
