Avoid This Agency!!!

Worked as an IT contractor for this agency since 2016 and things were fine up until last winter 2019. Since then I have not been paid on time for work undertaken, promises were made to pay my Invoices on time and then deliberately broken. Sometimes a part payment arrived but would then stop suddenly. Eventually I lost patience and instructed a Solicitor to take legal action against SQCP. Only then did they pay up fully within a week! I will never work with this agency again and warn others not to do so either. They cannot be trusted.

Never Pay You On Time

I have been working with them for 6 months now and the only payment was due on time was the first week. I know people that haven't been paid for 10 weeks. Is just horrible

I had similar problems to you. Eventually I instructed a Solicitor to take legal action against SQCP. Only then did they pay up fully for all my unpaid invoices.

Excellent Company

I've been here a few times with my partner and it's always got a busy buzz. It's popular for a reason, the beer is fantastic, mussels are delicious and I would highly recommend visiting!

A microbewery with a good open space indoors, a good patio area overlooking Blackheath and a excellent pizzas. The beers are quite good, though recently they have gone a bit more downhill. Still a solid choice when looking for a place to drink.

Avoid Like Plague

I am a project support person and have been submitted to a number of roles over the years. Never have i had anyone even return my call or give me feedback. They always blame their clients for not feeding back - also they strangely never know much about the roles - they just say read the spec....so they are either duff roles or they are fishing.

Also the staff are like fast talking car sales people who just want to make a buck for themselves it seems -

I totally agree. I always get calls from them and they never submit. I think it is a company that helps other companies get very qualified people off the market. When they call wait for another agent to contact you about the same role or look on job boards for another agency submitting the role and call them. I have know this company for over 6 years of my contracting years and they never submit! avoid like a plague!

One Fine Day A Lady (no Name To Avoid Any Personal

One fine day a lady (no name to avoid any personal abuse) from SQCP called me and spoke about this position, I was a good fit for. Right in the call she told me that she liked my experience and that she will fwd my cv to the client and asked me to reply to her email asking exclusive confirmation for submission (all in the first call itself), which I promptly did. And assuming that my cv has been submitted to this client, I had to reject two other agencies from submitting the cv to this client.

On the next day, tried to get in touch with sqcp to find out if they had any feedback. No reply to emails or phone calls (msg's left), then after two days of my struggle to get in touch with this lady, finally got hold of her and by this time, I had a doubt about the cv submission itself. So the first thing I asked her was whether she submitted my cv and if she had any feedback.

She promptly replied that she did not submit the cv, apparently because she found a better cv to submit. I asked why she couldnt tell me the same thing 2 days ago when I could have actually sent the cv through another agency, she had no reply!

Just avoid SQCP!!

Pros:

-None-

Cons:

They hurry you to give them exclusivity confirmation

Do not tell you if they don't submit the cv (after excl. confirmation)

No response to emails or calls, even after promising cv submission to client

Absolutely no integrity and not professional

Very evasive when you need to talk to them

Unfortunately, in my experience, this is entirely symptomatic of this entire industry. The ones who bother to keep you updated are about 1 in 20 (if you're lucky). They are the modern equivalent of 1980 era estate agents.
