High Hopes But Disappointed

Have had back luck with jobs recently and decided to register with them, initially was good as they found a placement quickly for holiday cover, then the week later assignment was cancelled at last minute, I was put somewhere else with a better hourly rate but unfortunately due to bad weather I called and said I was struggling to get there I could tell the consultant was cheesed off by the way she spoke to me - I haven’t heard from them again. They are all nicey nicey when you are filling roles but they show their true colours when you can’t do what they want. I will be applying for roles direct in future

Spam Ppm Recruiters

Based in Manchester with office in west Midlands. They pretend they have numerous job vacancies all over the country, they pepper you with never ending phone calls and email/text messages. So if you decide in going for a job interview it will not be with the employers but either with a recruitment officers grilling you and trying to put you off taking the position or they use the growing number of spammers they enlist to pass off as a employment officers and feed you a lot of rubbish. Could tell you there that you are not what the employer is looking for or actually offer you the job only for it to be taken away when you wonder why you have not receieved any follow up with job name contacts start date, phone number etc.

Advise you to avoid completely

Happy With My New Job

I would like to thank the best recruitment advisor who helped me with a smile all the way through my application and interview process without her help I don't think I would have been as successful.

I'd also like to add that this recruitment agency really stands out for friendliness and care.

Ageism Is Against The Law

got a phone call from this agency stating i fitted the bill perfectly for a job they needed to fill, the only way they would progress this was for me to travel to their office in Leicester, it couldn't be done online, so i took half a day off work to go taking my CV and all the documents they said they required, i was interviewed by a guy called kishan, all was going well until we got to the point where he needed to see the documents ie passport etc, i noticed after he had looked at my passport the conversation cooled somewhat, purely because he had seen my age, quickly finishing the interview,i was told he would contact me that afternoon, he didn't contact me,after 2 days i decided to contact him and surprise surprise he stated the employer thought i wasn't a good fit for what they were looking for ?

what he really meant when he discovered my age after seeing passport HE wasn't interested any further (in mid fifties)

i thought ageism is against the law, problem is all these places insist you provide your passport or birth certificate to progress your application so although they cant ask you your age they know what it is looking at the documentation.

if you are the wrong side of 40 don't bother going to this agency or KISHAN you wont get the job

if your experience was better than mine thats good, all my comments above are factually correct, and i would therefore never contact this company about employment again, in fact if search wish to open a debate about my experience i am more than happy to discuss it on an open forum such as this site so everyone can read all about it.

if it were my company and someone had claimed my company was being ageist (which is against the law) i would defend my companies good name all the way, wonder why Search have never responded or contacted me to refute my accusation ???????????????

could it be that the allegation is TRUE ?

I'm looking for work at the moment and my contact at Search (Manchester) has been attentive and professional. However I do keep on coming across barriers with agencies but it's not the agencies themselves, it's the actual employer (their client). The employer creates issues by adding specifics after adverts have been placed and changing requirements like age, years of experience etc. If they don't like your CV after it's been sent by the agency it is the agency that is the bearer of bad news. I'm female aged 33 with no children - it's presumed that within a couple of years I'll be maternity so I also have to battle that question when I'm asked.

Pulse Umbrella Recruitment Agency

The most worst agency ever. They eat your wages in hidden costs and made up taxes. Give no support, payments are always late and as an employee you never get any benefits. A serious misled

Agency to work for, don't do it. You end up with hardly anything at end of month and their excuse 'tax'. Don't join.

This Is Another Scam Agency! I Supposed Its Slight

This is another scam agency! I supposed its slightly better than Redd because they do reply! BUT- they crush your confidence like no other! I was interviewed for a position on friday and confirmed that I start work on Monday. I received no details and no calls and then when I called them, they said company had withdrawn the position . Now, I would pass this if it was once, but they did the exact same thing again! Another friend of mine had similar experiences. AVOID the Manchester branch especially- And if you must, at least DONT deal with SAMANTHA or LAURA from there. They are the worst! LAURA actually called me one day to suggest that I should go back to my country as I dont have work experience from this country. WTF??? I suppose she was having a bad day and just fancied ruining someone else's!! I've dealt with them for 1 year and from my experience, don't even bother with them.
