Never bother acknowledging communication, won't return calls , don't bother with them

After having been placed in a position and signing a contract for a new role, I was told I no longer had the role due to visa issues, despite being resident and having worked in the UK for 6 years and being legal to work. I subsequently found that the Page Personnel agent (in the Brighton office) had known that the employer was concerned about my visa situation and had placed another recruit in the position behind my back. The agent I was dealing with repeatedly told me there was no issue for over a week and not to worry, before leaving me a voicemail to say the employer had pulled out.

I was absolutely disgusted by the service I received today at Page Personnel Bristol. The consultant I saw couldn't have made me feel any worse about my self or my abilities. Despite being in my current field for twelve years she went on to say I "had no relevant experience" and that I "was aiming far too high" and "why was I bothering". She kept saying I had no experience in certain elements despite the fact I had already explained to her in detail with specific examples just why I had the exact experience she was asking for. All the while she was staring out the window, picking her nails, and yawning. Just plain rude. She couldn't have been any less interested if I had walked in dressed as a clown. When I told her my salary expectations she laughed and said "do you not think you're being a little over ambitious considering your lack of ability?" She then said "if you were lucky enough to get the salary you want you wouldn't be able to do the job as you'd be way out your depth". At which point my jaw hit the floor. Never have I felt so small and made to doubt my own worth. I literally didn't know what to say to her. She then asked why I was applying for the role THEY CALLED ME ABOUT I'd like to add, so I said "I have no idea, why did you call me as you seem to be an expert on my work history if I'm so incapable?" Got up and walked out. I seriously suggest people give it some proper thought before using this company. I will never set foot through their door or recommend them. Which is more fool them as my company are always looking for new agencies to recruit through. Seriously, if you're looking for a supportive friendly agency these people are definitely not them. Total and utter disgrace.
