Bms; Worst Recruitment Agency Unfortunately....
Where do you start?! They insist on getting you to come to their office before they will put you forward for a job. I have NEVER been put forward for a role i have applied for - maybe me? Possibly, but other agencies put me forward for jobs and i have received job offers so i cant be that bad!! The only hope is that companies read these websites and decide NOT to place their vacancies with BMS. Unfortunately, BMS really are that bad i'm sorry to say...
Give Recruiters A Bad Name
People often have negative things to say about recruiters. I'm sure there are plenty of good recruiters out there but these guys are walking stereotypes of the negative images people have. Time wasting, no actual jobs, quite likely fake jobs designed to generate interest. Rude, arrogant, what a shame. A shame I can't give no stars.
I couldn't agree more, they are complete time wasters, stuck up and unfriendly. Even the job one applies for does not exist.
I Have To Say That The First Time I Used Them, I T
I have to say that the first time I used them, I thought they were ok! They found me a decent job in the field I was looking to enter at a decent salary. I was flabbergasted! However this was all utter trollop. After I went to the interview and received my contract, the pay was at least 20% less than promised, bonuses were virtually non existent and promotions were not there. However I don't blame BMS for this I blame myself for still taking the job!
Against my better judgement I decided to use them again. Dragged down to Egham which was a good couple of hours and was told in no better words that I had to go if I was interested in jobs with them. Went down and waited twenty minutes to be seen. Finally a recruiter comes. Not the one I was expecting and he jots down some details. Leaves me alone for ten minutes. Then another recruiter comes who doesn't have my CV or details and jots pretty much the same info down and leaves. Finally last recruiter is the one I original came to see.
I have a decent discussion and I leave. After which I don't hear from them for three weeks! Finally a job comes up they wish me to go for an interview for and give me two hours to not only prepare but get to the interview destination. Distinctly unimpressed. After which two other interviews I went for back in March and not heard back with regards to anything. Not even if the role has been filled, they didn;t like me, nothing! I have been batting emails for two months and not heard a peep.
ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE RECRUITERS. They think that you are nothing but an ant and will do whatever they want. Furthermore they think they are the gods of recruiters. I got a dressing down from one of the recruiters. After waiting a month to hear back I sent a horrible email telling them how I felt. One of them actually got in touch with me and told me in no small words how busy they were and how they did not have time to waste on me! Will never never never use them again. Terrible!!!!!!
I Would Encourage Anyone Looking For A Job To Avoi
I would encourage anyone looking for a job to avoid BMS, you are simply wasting your time.
Jobs advertised are never available, which I presume is because they never existed in the first place. Surely this cannot be legal ????
I would advise using another agency that is interested & helping you find the role you are looking for , which I can guarantee BMS will not do. On numerous occasions, on the phone, in meetings & emails, I outlined my requirements. Every time I was ignored.
waste of time.
I Had To Write On Here As The Reviews Seem To Be S
I had to write on here as the reviews seem to be suggesting the worst. I have previously (briefly!) worked in recruitment where I was encouraged to fabricate roles in order to get details of people's previous employers and current interview prospects to generate sales for my company. This agency sounds like they might be doing the same. I bet most roles don't exist. Watch out for clever questions about job details such as contact names, companies, locations, etc.
Chap I Met Was Very Full Of His Own Importance Tho
chap I met was very full of his own importance though when asked questions around specific accounts/technologies became very flustered/borderline aggressive perhaps to compensate for lack of 1st hand experience, in fact when I asked after his own experience of the industry his previous role was helping on a car lot!! Attitudes seem to be very much stuck in the .com era which is a shame as my last experience of them when looking for my last role about 8 years ago was of a genuinely helpful company who were looking to build long term relationships with candidates - the guy I met then had unfortunately long ago moved on!
exactly the same for me - perhaps I met the same guy though judging by the atmosphere in their reception area that seems to be the culture there now
I found this review very helpful because...it mirrors my experience
Terrible, had Twenty Minute Meeting With So Called
Terrible, had twenty minute meeting with so called consultant, arranged one interview which I never received feedback from I have applied for numerous vacancies advertised by them through various jobsites which have matched my skills,to be honest BMS are the worst agency i have come across avoid them at all costs.
I found this review very helpful because...it was a carbon copy of the very same experience i had with this company.

Called me in for an interview, arranged a time that suits my working hours which was good. Got there few minutes early but was left waiting for half hour. when i was taken up i was taken into the office and sat down but the guy interviewing wasn't prepared so he left to get my cv and other paperwork and returned 10 minutes later. Interview started and he took down all my expectations, requirements and said he will be in touch. he said he never had his business cards on him as he was only there for interviews and he will email me his details and an update to my cv. Its been 4-5 months now and I have received no emails. This made me feel as though they don't care about me.
