IT was a couple of years back now, that I had an accident at work - a heavy box of stock fell from the three storey storage racking onto the back of my head and neck. The force sent me slamming to the concrete floor - i almost passed out.

Over a long period I suffered endless back pain and aching in the lower back. Keeble Hawson stepped in stating they could win this case for me on a 'no win no fee' basis.

After they visited my home, asked endless questions and I wrote what felt like a book of an explanation, i received the documentation from them - all the hard work was done. All i had to do was sit back (in pain!) and wait.

I read through the large wad of documentation when I noticed something in the small print.

Now I am an business analyst, so I notice these things, but I have actually found a loophole in their documentation! It would mean in a certain circumstance, that I WOULD have to pay fees..of what could be thousands of pounds!!

After writing to these charlatans, the top bods refused to speak to me.

Only the secretary would respond and each time she refused to answer the question or confirm that I would indeed be liable.

They just wanted me to sign so they could go ahead.

So I left it - I did not sign and did not respond to any further communication from them.

Looking back I think I had a narrow escape. I had a legal type look over the small print - they confirmed my fears.
