All lies sell you something you don’t need as a small business. When your struggling due to economy they try and bully you into paying through a debt collection company., They say there’s no get out of contract even thought the sales man said you can, they even said they do all your Rams another lie, there are a lot of posts related to mine so what’s this say, don’t get bullied by this company they won’t do nothing will cost them more in the long run.

I have informed them that I need to terminate my contract after 2 years due to business closure. They are telling me I need to pay for a further 3 years as I signed a 5 year agreement. This is despite the fact no further service is needed from them. It feels exploitative, and is the only company out of all of my suppliers that hasn't shown any flexibility or understanding. The service itself over the past 2 years has been ok. They are very phone-based, they don't like providing an email service and emails to them seem to get lost. They have been ok from an advice perspective, but have needed quite a lot of chasing if the query isn't straight forward, e.g. calculating annual leave for someone on a variable hours contract. I would not recommend them to anyone, due to my experience trying to terminate the contract.

Citation is absolute sham of a company. We have been with Citation since 2017. They started off okay however, we have had alot of our queries ignored, we chose to cancel our auto renewel in 2019 which should have meant our account shut off in 2020. Its now 2021 and were still trying to leave this company. We were told a person was our point of call, On attempting to cancel, another person told us she  was not our POC we had been wrongly advised and that they could do a better job, We chose not to give them another chance and wanted to leave still. This is where it went very sour. I am the office manager and on the citation account yet was refused to speak to anyone beyond this due to my word not being good enough, The business owner then called citation to cancel as they asked and we were refused to cancel again due to authorisation, although this isnt possible due to them being the OWNER. We have been in an ongoing battle to leave citation due to lack of co-opporation and the fact that we cancelled our auto renewel back in 2019. Do yourselves a favour and do not go with citation. They have no idea what theyre on about, their own staff do not know their job roles, they will refuse to help you and also refuse to allow you to leave no matter what legal channels you follow. The only reason i have given a 1 star is because i cannot give none. We are still battling with citation but have been given a leave date of July 2022 which is 2 years too late. We have exhausted every avenue. Do not join citation.

Worst decision I ever made. Was made to feel it would help save me time etc and it didn't. 1 star as contracts are good, but you can get them cheaper than being locked in for 3 yrs for hundreds of pounds. On top of this Covid is really hurting my company as it works with schools and they are not letting outsiders in. I asked for help (few months break) as no money coming in at all and they basically said I can go jump. If your a small company AVOID in my opinion, it's just to much financial risk. I am reminded that any company that locks you in probably is not good enough for you to want to stay.

They have persuaded us into the 5 or 10 year contract be careful and read the contract properly every detail of it, if you want to cancel the agreement you can't or you will have to pay they £3000 to do so.  Now I am stuck paying the £100 every month and not using their services at all as I do not require them.

They are also part of Qms international who have done the same tactics you get me to sign up. now they all want thousands to just cancel this contract

I dont use this services I am a micro company. Either from Qms International or Citation.

I was approached by the company in October 2015 for a position, they said they would get back to me but didn't. I was then called by their hiring agent in January 2016 asking me if I was immediately available for an interview. I said yes, I asked to do it on Skype but they insisted that I spend a day travelling to Wilmslow. I did, this exercise took a day as well as expenditure on rail travel and I had a very positive interview with some nice managers, with a result (they said) due in three days or so and with every indication (from both them and their hiring agent) being that they were going to hire me. Three weeks and several emails/calls from me later, they said they had HR problems. Several days later I was told they hired someone they already knew in the area where I live. I asked for a refund of expenses, nothing heard. A company therefore, that I will not be recommending to jobseekers or clients in the future.

I have been using Citation for over 5 years now. Their service, for both employment law and health and safety has been invaluable to us. We have had a couple of situations with employees and they have helped us manage them quickly and professionally. I also feel comfortable with the minefield that can be health and safety. They have written my policies and assisted in risk assessments so that i feel covered in all areas should anything happen.

We were being approached by another leading company in this business and attended a free seminar, following this is when I started to do my homework and came across Citation, so contacted them to see what they were like in comparison. Over the last few months we have had many issues that delayed us from signing with anyone...but I liked their Business Development Managers approach to us. She came and showed us their material, online systems and even gave me contact details of other customers in my industry to discuss how it helped them. Every question I asked, they answered and not once did they bad mouth any other company....now this in comparison to the other said company was a breath of fresh air! The reason I finally signed with Citation, was purely down to the fact, when I said to her what my personal issues were, she left me alone to deal and I got back in contact when ready. The other company used scare tactics and must have called/emailed 3 times per week with no sympathy at all! When we called up to say we were interested in signing for Citation but had a few more question, she was there at the office within 72 hours and happy to run through everything again. Signing up was was fast and all documents easy to understand. The cost compared to others in industry was competitive (although documentation not as flashy!).Then within 48 hours my online systems have been created and I have had a quick look through this afternoon and all looks great, although I am led to believe these are due to be updated later in the year. I havent had the HR or H&S over to visit yet as I advised I was out of office now for a week so I will update once that has been done! So far, all is good and I am happy with the services.
