Trading as Central Business Sales (CBS) with virtual offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow which have no staff in them, they currently have a Court Decree against them for not returning £4000 deposit which is meant to be in a Trust Account, but gone also unlawful, Courts, Sheriff Officers and Solicitors are in agreement that CBS is in the wrong. But they refuse to pay.

You pay a deposit with CBS into a trust account to enter into negotiations with the seller. Both solicitors (ethier side) could not come to an agreement so we request the deposit back. Over a year later with the courts on our side and still no return.

This could happen to any of you out there. We now have the police investigating. We will eventually track down the director.

If you do business with CBS and it goes wrong the courts wont help you as they already have Court Action againt them. Do your due diligence.The information is with the courts.

We used Central Business Sales to sell our cafe in Edinburgh in December 2021. We cant believe how quickly it sold and for just over the asking price.

Absolutely atrocious 'service' from this company.

We put an offer in on one of the businesses they were selling and were pushed into giving them £5000 deposit to discover at the first exchange of e-mails between our solicitors that the company was not sold as seen, in-fact had multiple land-lords, leases and subleases - to name only a few of the issues we encountered.

We withdrew our offer immediately (just 2 days after starting proceedings) and it took this company a further TWO WEEKS to finally return our £5,000 deposit in full.

They initially ignored us, and then when they finally responded they wanted to keep '£150 admin fee' which was ludicrous given they constantly fobbed us off on our calls with 'we will be in touch later' and it will be sent this afternoon and over 15 ignored e-mails. Further to this, when we paid the deposit they sent us terms saying it was refundable 'if there was an omission by the seller'.

When I rang them daily, the company director was rude and obnoxious. He claimed I was harassing him. I think ANYONE who is constantly ignored by a company who has kept £5000 of their money has the right to ask them when it will be returned.

I will never deal with this company again, and I strongly recommend you avoid them at all costs. Absolute charlatans. Property was not sold as seen, and the director is the most horrid 'businessman' I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with.

The people I dealt with were so professional throughout the whole process of my business sale. First time I had sold a business and they kept me informed every step of the way. Secured a deal within 5 weeks of marketing. Also they followed up with an email after the handover period. Would definitely recommend/use them again myself. Huge thank you to you both.  (Edinburgh)

Was used these guys at Central Business Sales as id been with another agent for 2 years and had nothing but hassle and time wasters. Best thing that i did. They advertised my restaurant with great photos and also a video. This was a lot different than the other agents. Was impressed also that they advertise on Zoopla as well and not just the normal business sales websites.

3 months from signing with them to sale being completed. More than happy with that service and have passed their details on to other guys I know want to sell. Just wished id done it 2 years ago...........

We used Central Business Sales to sell our Restaurant in Edinburgh and Cafe Restaurant in Dundee. They where brilliant. We got a far better price than we expected and they gave fantastic advice throughout. The even gave us a brilliant solicitor to use.

We though that it would be a very difficult sale due to the 2 locations but it was made very simple and we just sat back and let Central Business Sales do all the work.

The fact that they take a 10% deposit from the buyer is brilliant and it fills you with confidence that the sale will go through as you have a genuine buyer.
