“Best phone I've ever had”

Written on: 11/01/2015 by AliceWayte (3 reviews written)

Had this phone for almost three years now. Slight glitches, as is usual with age, but working great. has been dropped, got damp, bitten by pets, thrown and pressed by books in a bag and still works. This thing is indestructible! Can't load many of your own apps, but has enough inbuilt apps and functions that I don't really care… Read Full Review

Orange Rio

Coming in colours of either pink or black, the Rio mobile phone from Orange caters to people on a budget who would love to have a QWERTY keypad for faster and trouble-free text messaging, a cool, BlackBerry-inspired design and a touchscreen with their units.

Loaded with mobile handset essentials like a 2 MP camera, MP3 player and internet capabilities, the Orange Rio is quite compact and is easy on the pocket (literally and figuratively). Even without Wi-Fi, GPS or 3G and armed with only GPRS and EDGE for connectivity, the Orange Rio allows you to stay connected wherever you may be. Checking on your email and messaging friends are instantly possible, though the connection can be sluggish at times.

Most comments at Argos note how easy the QWERTY keypad is to use, ideally spaced to minimise hitting on the wrong keys. And while most users may have bought this phone for its likeness to BlackBerry, the unit’s touch screen feature is an added bonus they definitely love. Kids go crazy over how easy it is to use and operate the Orange Rio. The handset is very straightforward and user-friendly, devoid of any frills that only make life complicated for those who dedicate their phone to just calling, messaging and web browsing.

As to be expected from a 2 MP camera phone, reviewers at Trusted Reviews noted how the pictures are not all that astounding. Without a flash and advanced settings set up, images are more often dark and lacking in detail. On the other hand, the handset’s audio system delivers crisp and clear sounds perfect for entertaining calls which is a welcome surprise. Depending on usage, the Orange Rio’s battery life is generally good reducing the need to recharge every now and then. Another plus when it comes to convenience and hassle-free phone capabilities. With the thousands of mobile phones available in the market today, it has become easier to pick out just the perfect partner phone for everyday use. All you have to do is figure out what you want. And so far, the Orange Rio has made 7 out of 10 users very happy consumers indeed.
