“Worst experience ever”

SIM only plan. Order SIM. Never arrived. Rang up to order new one. Never arrived. Rang to cancel order and contract. About 2 hours of calls in total. 5 months later see I am getting charged still!!! Wow!!! 3 phone calls later and I still haven't received a refund.a refund on a product I cancelled which never ever arrived.its unbelievable!!! So so bad you couldn't believe it. So I could save £3 a month. I regret my choice to go with talkmobile so so much!

“Great Customer Service”

Owned by Vodafone but much better customer service. Used a simple one month contract that was very easy to manage and efficiently operated. So many operators give poor service. I found them really easy to deal with. Customer service has been good. The overseas call centre has been much better than my normal experience. Calls have been answered quickly and staff have been intelligent, well-trained, friendly and helpful. I ran the contract with a £0 cap without difficulty. When I left the PAC code was not easy to get hold of and I think they breached Ofcom rules but I managed to sort it out fairly easily.

“Avoid TalkMobile like the plague”

TalkMobile simply don't deliver on any promises. Sign up for a new account via a comparison site, was porting my number to a SIM only 30 day deal - what could go wrong? They failed to deliver the SIM within the 5 working days they promise. Their support blame royal mail and tell you they'll send out guaranteed next day delivery (Royal Mail again). Another 72 hours later the SIM arrives (delivered by DPD). SIM does not work - "no service". Support can't get it to work (no my phone isn't locked, no the SIM doesn't work in other phones). My number ported 4 days ago = I've not been able to make or receive calls for 4 days. Their response to the SIM not working = "will escalate to our technical team who will be in touch within 48 hours.....!!!!" When asking for a PAC to cut my losses and go elsewhere, I am asked to provide 3 forms of ID (photo/utility bill & bank statement) which I have done, but find it amazing they easily provided me with a new account WITHOUT any forms of ID, but to leave I have to jump through hoops??? Oh and I have to wait another 48 hours for the PAC. (Vodafone provided me with the PAC to leave and go to TalkMobile within 15 minutes of requesting it). Avoid at all costs.

“The worst company to deal with”

Talkmobile are quite simply dire (although dire means they could improve and that wont happen) Probably the worst company to deal with if you have an issue. Nobody cares. They have a crib sheet of answers, anything else will be your fault or the Royal Mail . . . .or Russia. . . Covid . . . The Queen . . .anything but them. They managed to lose my ported number for 10 days!! 10 days!!. They even sent a verification text to the number that they'd lost and blamed me for not getting it. The call centres are India based, they don't understand anything you are trying to explain. The company is inept, incompetent, totally useless and couldn't organise a party up in a brewery. If, by some miracle your 24 hour number port (or 10 days in my case) happens and there is an issue, it will involve around 15 hours!! on the webchat or on the phone, after that time time they will do the total opposite of what was asked and probably lose your number again. DO NOT USE THEM IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR NUMBER . . . IN FACT USE ANYONE ELSE.

£90 exit fee, no discussions. Dispute over contract start date. Took out a pay monthly sim only deal and had to cancel it within the contract period. The 14 day cooling off period had just expired (2 days) but there was no leeway. My opinion was the contract should have started when i either received the sim card or had my number transferred over, Talkmobile said they start the contract on the order date. Had to pay a full 12mths worth to leave equalling near £90.

“absolute shambles”

my talk mobile sim card was damaged. given another one from the vodafone shop who deal with talk mobile. They told me to contact them to activate. Tried to do this but for my client who is unable to do himself, they refused to do it. Tried to do this on webchat and they tell me i will have to be sent a new card as the ones from the vodafone shop will not work!!!! Exactly the same card for god sake. You cannot speak to anyone who has good english so are struggling to get them to understand. I am now going to leave this company and go with a proper phone company. You are an absolute shambles talk mobile....

“PERFECT”

Well we need to remember that the service we get is are all individuals and not the company. Companies processing are perfect. I had the best experience taking out another contract with talk mobile today. The guy put up with me doing his head. Wasn't happy about how many questions I had to answer to actually be able to speak. He stayed calm and patient with me, I ended the conversation laughing. My own family can't calm me. Looking back he was 100% in the right. I'm happy to know no one will ever be able to access my account. True gent and an assist to the company. Thanks allow talk mobile. Wish you all the best in whatever you strive for. Kind regards

“crazy company-Please avoid!!!!”

My 24 month experience with this company is hell, they reap you off and when its time to cancel the contract, I gave a 30 days notice on the 1st of April and was told my final bill was £8, on 2 of May they took £10 and claim my contract is still on-going, Please avoid this crazy company, Vodafone should do something about this crazy company and their crazy service

“Can't get through to cancel!”

“WORST PHONE PROVIDER EVER!”

HE WORST PHONE COMPANY EVER. My 66 year old nan opened a contract out 4 years ago and paid a fee to cancel the contract 2 months or so early only to find out last month they have been taking odd sums of money from her every couple of months for the past 2 1/2 years to the total of £425.53. When calling the company she had to wait 24hrs to speak to a manager which then assured her that an error had happened on the system and she would be refunded the full amount. 5 days later only £175. 50 had been refunded so we contacted the company again only to be told we could not talk to a manager and the lady purposely hung up on us as she "had other people to talk to". I rang straight back and explained what had happened and voila I was put through to a manager straight away. The manager apologised for the situation straight away and said she would refund the full amount owed immediately! We were very pleased. Except we were called back an hour or so later by a very rude member of the "investigations team" to be told the refund had been stopped as we apparently didn't cancel the contract (even though multiple members of the team had told us otherwise...). They then proceeded to make up the lie that we had rang them a month or so after and had apparently reactivated a new simply card but would refuse to tell me the number which we had apparently called of to request this as they said they didn't have it on system (lies). Overall the WORST company with the most disgusting customer service we have ever come across. I would not recommend anybody choose this mobile network unless you would like to be tricked out of money!

“Heartless bunch of sharks ***AVOID UNLESS YOU WANT STRESS!”

I cancelled a contract with TM back in July 2016 on my wife's phone as she transferred over to another provider.I paid a final settlement figure of around £40 however I thought i had left the direct debit account open for the residual payment which turned out to be £14 but have just discovered that it was indeed cancelled .I did receive a letter shortly after requesting this amount however as i thought it would be collected by the same direct debit that i forgot had been cancelled I ignored it thinking it was just a standard letter. I have just discovered that the payment was never collected and in the 4 months that have since passed my credit score has gone from virtually perfect to very poor as a result of this one single small payment oversight.I have another account with them and this along with the other account has in the 4 years proceeding that never missed a single payment.I have never missed any payments for anything in my entire 30 years of adult life and now this one small payment could cause enormous problems in our life.I have just done an Experian credit score and this single £14 missed payment is the only blemish i have on record. I did not received any reminders to say it wasn't collected or paid for either by text or phone which is amazing as they are so quick to text and email with new sales offers but seem not to be bothered about reminding customers that a few quid is owed to them and would rather just let the customer sink like the titanic with no warning that an impending iceburg us headed there way. The £14 has now been paid I would have been at least grateful if they could have looked into it with much more empathy common sense and gratitude to a long standing usually reliable and loyal customer and then reverse the negative delinquent credit score from against my excellent credit record which has apart from this never had single blemish against it. TM have caused us more stress than any company i have ever dealt with.They have put us at risk of not getting a mortgage because they fail to understand that this was a simple human error a small oversight on my part that they could and SHOULD easily make a simple adjustment and overturn it but no they are too stubborn too unreasonable and frankly do not seem to care less about there customers only their profits share holders and board of Directors. Ofcom and National Ombudsman will be notified of this injustice and once my other contract is up with them it will be goodbye and good riddance to these heartless sharks.

“bad ”

tried to sort problem with the extra charges with talkmobile last october, they agreed to it, said they would start a brand new contract, take the first payment from me and then they sent me a bill with the old charges... i stopped the diret debit and they sent me a request of payment or sent me lawyers and what not... well, I'll see them in court. they will have to show their recorded conversations with me about this - stay clear from them. very disappointed

“So bad they cost me my job”

I paid £82 in one week for a £10 per month contract and still had my service cut three further times. Without a doubt this was the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I would rather eat my own leg than have to deal with this god awful company again. Do not join for any reason because you will regret it.

I was reluctant to take out a mobile phone contract online as I normally like to go into the store and deal with people face to face. Looking at the price and reading reviews on other websites I thought I would take the plunge. I ordered 2 phone contracts, one for myself and another for my son. Although it is early days I have to say the customer service which includes delivery, and the level of communication has been excellent. Highly recommend Talkmobile

“threat of dept collectors”

having canceled this contract in april by giving thirty days notice as required when contract came to the end and making final payment in may ,have now had threats in a letter if i dont pay fifteen pounds i will be passed to dept collectors,i rang the number and got the indian call center what a waste of 30 min.that was , if seems my contract was not canceled as requested ,good job i got a copy of the chat transcript showing i requested the thirty day end to my contract , they said at call center they could not provide me with any proof that they would cancel from today,

“Terrible appalling company! ”

I made payment to Talkmobile through their automated system. They sent me a text thanking me for payment but did not register it on my account. This resulted in my plan being stopped and me being charged for individual calls, texts and data and receiving a large bill which I was forced to pay. I was asked to send bank statement via email which I have now done 5 times. Each time Talkmobile have said that it is invalid although it has all the requirements that they originally asked. Today after speaking with customer service I have now been asked to email a hard copy which I have already done previously. I am getting no where with this truely frustrating company. I am now left with no choice to take this matter up with the Financial Ombusman. Anyone considering dealing with company should do so at their peril. Please talk mobile rectify your mistakes!! Furthermore I have been passed from pillar to post, given incorrect information and blatantly lied to by customer service advisors who although very polite are not capable of resolving their mistake which is costing me dearly financially and not to mention my valuable time trying to sort out their mess. STAY CLEAR of this phone company!!!!!!

“Terrible Customer Service”

Called up Talkmobile about 2 months ago and asked for a full charge of the cancellation. They gave me a full price of £64, which seemed reasonable. Called up and cancelled 2 months later and had to pay £42, again seemed reasonable only to be hit with a charge of £15 that wasn't mentioned on the previous call. Not sure who's the idiot. Them or me for choosing them. Thank god that's over and done with. Hopefully I've chosen better this time round. If you're cancelling your contract I'd make sure the Direct Debit is cancelled.

“DAY LIGHT ROBBERY”

Dear Madam/Sir,  for my bad luck went to the Car phone warehouse - Meadowhal, Sheffield showroom on 2012 December to see if I can buy an unlocked phone because I wanted to gift the same to my friend's son. One of the customer care assistant persuaded me to go for a monthly payment scheme as it will be profitable for me and she said she will give a free simcard which I do not have to use. And she clearly said that the payment will come to an end by December 2014 and the total I will have to pay is only 24 x£7.50.  I said I am not bothered about the sim and she said if you don't want do not use it just discard it. I thought I can pay the mobile price over a period of 24 months which will be convenient and due to her repeated persuading nature I went for it. Now I realized that it was a proper trap. She might have made some money as commission/reached her target - and she put me into deep trouble. Because there were lots of transactions in my personal bank account and many a times my account was over drawn, I did not notice that the payment of £7.5 kept going from my account after Jan 2015. TALK MOBILE took money more than a year from my account without my permission. When I realized the money is going still from my account, I cancelled the direct debit. I immediately rang talk mobile and try to talk to them but they kept me on hold and hold for too long around an hour, with only IVR music to listen. Now I realised that they are trying to still take money out from account and also my name is appearing on the credit file. When I rang up 10th May 2016 I got through and talked to a lady around 6.30pm. She said that I had to ring them to cancel the mobile contract which was to finish in December 2014. The sales person who sold me the mobile never told me about this and, where I was ready to pay the full amount, she mislead and tricked me signing this contract. I Have never used this number to make a single call with this number which proves what I said earlier, that I went only for a handset and not for a connection, beyond doubt. I really feel DEPRESSED AND DISAPPOINTED due to TALK MOBILES unscrupulous behaviour. I am not even able to concentrate in my work due to this issue and often get disturbed and affects even my family life. I feel that I was absolutely cheated and because TALK MOBILE have my bank details in record, they took money off my account without my permission. I am now scared to deal with similar companies and give out my personal and bank details. I was living in Sheffield when I bought this phone and in 2014 September I moved. All these days TALK MOBILE never send me a letter or reminder to tell me that you are continuing taking money out of my account. Not a single communication I received from you either address. I am still accessible to any letter comes to me at the first house as this house is owned by my business partner and friend. I can get a written confirmation about this if needed. Even after 30 days of sending a mail to TALK MOBILE they have not bothered to ring me or communicate to me till date.

If you don't fully read the terms and conditions of a contract, then you cannot complain afterwards. You have a 14 day cooling off period to double check the contract. Remember to never believe a salesperson, do your homework first.

“No problems”

I went for a PAYG SIM to put in my existing phone, as I only make a few voice calls with the occasional text - no internet use. 10p for a 60 minute call takes some beating! SIM arrived by post in 2 days, old number was ported with my PAC code in another 2 days, and all now up and working with initial top up. Customer service agents were universally polite, cheerful and knowledgeable, with no delays in answering the phone. What more could you ask for?
