Atrocious customer service. Despicable company. Should be banned from trading.

have no problem at all with legitimate reviews of a business, but Yelp is not interested in the truth. They are predatory with a clear conflict of interest.

My business, income, and my reputation have been damaged by the strong arm tactics of Yelp, as I have refused to pay them to 'fix' my problem of a one star rating, which they caused in order to profit from me paying them to 'fix' it, while 'filtering' my legitimate five star reviews.

I have a defamatory false negative one star review posted on my business Yelp listing, while all of the legitimate five star reviews from my clients are 'filtered' by Yelp.

I am not the only business and person affected by Yelp. Small business owners, employees, and the public are harmed everywhere by Yelp. See the articles, websites, and the class action lawsuits by business owners against Yelp.

Months ago, I placed a lengthy review about Tesco and Yelp removed it. The reasons why they moved it was because apparently it did not benefit consumers when in fact it did.

The review was about customer service so clearly my review on Tesco had a clear purpose for consumers.

I personally think that Tesco paid Yelp to remove it.

So Yelp, try moving this review!

This review site is the most invalid review site I have ever had to deal with. They seem to thrive on negative reviews true or not. After many contacts with Yelp over untrue vengeful nothing has been done to correct the problem. The reply from the representative is " we believe it is true and we will not remove the review" after not even attempting to verify the review as being true.

Yelp is by far the worst rating portal - good reviews are simply deleted without any sense and only bad and very questionable appears. This is a simply not legal and dirty.

I am not surprised when I read the other reviews about Yelp. I thought I was the only one that felt Yelp was not honest and they have a very biased review system.

If you call them their answer is, it the Robot that decides which review is good to keep and which one to hide. The Robot is programmed to keep all the bad ones and hide the good ones unless you pay yelp.

I am glad i only have one bad review and which is baseless but I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion good,bad, honest or dishonest.It is Yelp's job to control the reviews and not just blindly throw some algorithm and let the Robot take the blame for human decisions. Like they say garbage in garbage out. The Robot is programmed to do that. I have friends that always complain about the one bad one and 20 good ones even though they are from genuine clients but Yelp hides all the 20 and forces the reviewer to write more review to make them feel credible. Instead of rewarding the reviewer for taking their time to log into Yelp create an account and write a review, Yelp punishes them for writing a good review by saying the reviewer is not credible. What happened to Good Old American values. I don't think Yelp knows that this countries economy thrives on small mom and pop businesses and because of their biased review system there are many doors closed. Yes they might have millions and millions reviewers as they claim but who has checked their credibility, I am sure it is not a third party company. If Yelp says your credibility comes from how many reviews you write on Yelp one can sit for a week and find any restaurant, hair dresser, dry cleaners, doctors, lawyers, and many more businesses you find on Yelp and write few lines whether you even have been to those actual businesses. There is no way in the world for Yelp to find that you have been to any of the vendors you review about. They may say they can check the IP address and email well it is very simple to create thousand different email addresses and you can go to many different computers from libraries, to schools, to universities, to friends and Apple stores.

I had to vent as, for the first time I was putting a good review for a store from where I just ordered a Holiday gift and came across Yelp reviews and was surprised to see this as there is no place to review the giant review company itself.

I hope others can post their feeling about Yelp and may be they will see the light at the other end of the tunnel one day.

This so-called company of reviews has only allowed a retaliatory negative review on my company. I have had many customers that have tried to post a positive review and Yelp will not allow it. They are classless and their reviews have no merit whatsoever. Everyone should Google this so-called California company and read about the complaints and law suits against them. It is funny that I have one negative review against me, while they have hundreds, if not thousands, against them. How does it feel Yelp, are you yelpin' yet? One of the class-action lawsuits against Yelp claimed that they were removing negative reviews in exchange for “advertising”. It seems the complaints of extortion are not going away; instead they appear to be growing more frequent in numbers as awareness has risen that something fishy could be going on at Yelp. May I suggest to all of the other victims of this unscrupulous company's practice that you find sources on the internet that you can post negative reviews about Yelp. Let's give them a taste of their own medicine.

I took the time to write 3 positive reviews and detailed carefully about businesses I had interracted with. 2 months later, all my reviews have been hidden and filtered. Their patronising answer is "I need to write more reviews to gain trust". I doubt I'll be doing that. A very negative experience, and most of the reviews I read anyway looked fake like they were written by the restaurant owners themselves. Great expectations about their amazing and incredible customer experiences, and how they were treated like kings and queens and the owners must work "really hard" to keep the place so fantastic. No, it's not a site Im likely to ever us again. Infact, quite disappointing and, undeniably American in their couldn't care less/cold and standard customer service manner.

There may be approximately 67 bazillion sites out there that aim to help you find restaurants or bars in your neighborhood, but Yelp seems to be the only one that consistently, reliably offers in depth information about pretty much everything you could possibly be compelled to want to consume/buy. Using the search function for keywords that pop up in user reviews is a great way to find stuff that you just can't get from Google (24-hour breakfast tacos). Also, user reviews are super helpful with notoriously tricky businesses such as auto maintenance or orthopedic doctors. Only shortcoming is that it doesn't exist in some foreign countries...

I've been an advertising customer with Yelp for six months and have nothing to show for it. They claim big, promise the moon, but at the end of the day they just take our money and do nothing for it. Its totally ridiculous! I plan on not renewing with their program. I can't stop today because I'm in an advertising contract that they won't fulfill their obligations for, but they'll charge be thousands if I want out of the contract. I asked them to just remove my companies profile, their response is NO, NEVER, NADA, Not going to happen. Thanks for nothing yelp.
