Shown this site by a friend. Managed to find a really good deal on a hotel in Whitby with a nice saving and it was 3 star and too only set me back £40 a night . Tried Expedia and Lastminute before I used this site and it was more expensive lucky I found Top10.com or I would have lost a bit of cash !!

Came across this on TV believe it or not. It does much the same as Trivago, but it's much easier to use and I like the idea of a Top10. I've used it to book a hotel for a trip up country to see my brother. Saved me a bit of cash too (about £30 I think). Downside is that they don't have hotels from everyone on the web I don't think, but there's lots of big websites here. Expedia and Hotels.com are here.

I stumbled across Top10 when researching hotels for Budapest. I wanted to book a last minute getaway for me and my girlfriend and this site popped up in the results when I googled cheap hotel deals for the city. Fantastic looking site that gave me a top10 listing to look through with further results at the bottom, not that I needed that as I found the perfect hotel at a fantastic price pretty much straightaway. Had all the info on the hotel & a map showing where it was in relation to the all the action. I clicked through to the hotels booking website with no problems and the prices all matched up, no hidden charges. Booking all confirmed - we can't to get away now! Cheers Top10!

I'm usually pretty sceptical of user reviews being a pretty mistrusting type but Top10 is good because it takes so many reviews from so many different people on Facebook to build the rankings. Therefore if you want to find the best movie or cafe, hotel etc. the recommendations are pretty decent. Where it falls down is on city coverage on hotels and new movies (it only has stuff before 2013). The music stuff is seriously comprehensive though with any band you can think of.

I like the fact that this is lists by real people and not Google or anyone elses idea of what a good list should be on any topic. The music stuff is definitely the best on here but I quite like the stuff about comics and books too.

Came across this site whilst planning a trip to New York recently, loved how easy it was to see which hotels people had rated their favourite with short snappy reviews, really easy to use and a great concept. Will definitely check this site out again when I'm planning my next stay in a new city!

The site looks very nice and I used it recently for present ideas for Christmas! I would have liked a bit more to read, but I do like the way it ranks everything so you can choose the best one from real opinions. Got my brother an Ipad mini for Christmas after reading some good stuff.

Love this site! The way everything is in a Top10 is awesome. Been looking for something like this for Spotify playlist ideas for years. There is pretty much a Top10 for any band you can think of, apart from a few big bands like Led Zep, The Beatles and Pink Floyd who aren't on Spotify yet. That aside, this is a great site for any music fan.

It's about time some new sites came out that didn't rely on random pricing information, but actually aggregated opinions in a simple way - enter Top10! This site's a year old but already has collected over a million opinions on travel, hotels, music, film and entertainment - cool design and v useful for discovering and finding new things. It's like pinterest, but better :)

Went in, found their Top 10 pubs in England. The winner? The Barley Mow (my local). Boom! Also good for music & films.

I am a semi-pro golfer and when I go on holiday I still play golf - sad right? Anyway, I used Top10 to find some killer golf hotels. They recommended Pine Valley as the best course in the world - guess what? They're right.

My husband used Top10 to find a resturant for a valentine's night out and reccommended it to me. It's useful for other stuff too like hotels, music and books.

There are so many sites that claim to tell you the very best places to go, things to do etc. - this has an interesting approach though. While detail is lacking, I'd still use Trip Advisor over this admittedly, I like what they're trying to do at least. Wisdom of the crowds!

Thought this was useful - slighly limited but their results for Europe hotels were very good. Only 4* becuase south america coverage wasn't good.

Found cool old action movies here - some great lists. Do people love Terminator, Predator and Aliens? Yes they do. Do people like Battlestar Galactica? Not so much. Loaded up on cheap DVDs after being reminded of some of these classics. Good site for film fans.

Apparently the number 1 beach in the world is in Australia! Correct. And yes, I am an aussie.

I continue to find it difficult on the Internet to find well-informed vegan options (both hotels and restaurants) when myself and my husband travel to new cities. I found this website to be a wonderful resource for this purpose.

Cool - Top10 rules! You can create own lists and then share them on Facebook etc! Lots of fun :)

"I'm usually pretty sceptical of user reviews being a pretty mistrusting type...."
Me too, and especially after seeing that Stephen Hawking is ranked way above Michael Faraday in the Top Scientists category on that silly site.
In my view, for all Hawking's apparent brilliance, he is but a mere theorist and speculator whose books sell well, whereas Faraday.........well, look him up if you are not aware of what he's achieved.
Too many of these Mickey Mouse websites on the 'net as it is and all seemingly out to trump this one. And abysmally failing.
