The Brome Grange Hotel, Brome, Suffolk

We had our wedding at The Brome Grange Hotel in June 2007 and a series of errors occurred that wasn't expected from a place selling a wedding package with a wedding coordinator.

Firstly, there was no wedding coordinator present on the day. This led to seemingly less than qualified staff tiering our cake - removing the boards and putting the pillars in upside down leading to a leaning tower of Pisa which had to be taken down before it collapsed!

There was not enough vegetables with the main courses with some tables of 8 people sharing a small dish between them. Service was slow as there was no coordinator leading to evening guests arriving before the band had set up.

The evening buffet ran out before half of the guests had a chance to visit it. The staff seemed to suggest it was because we had greedy guests but this is hard to believe and quite insulting too!

Furthermore, our guests filled the bedrooms on the evening but in the morning there was not enough food for everyone at breakfast and we were told this is because normally not everyone stays for the breakfast. In my opinion, this is not the way to run a Bed and Breakfast.

The worst part has been advising them of our dissatisfaction as I feel they have no idea about customer service and they have not even apologised or admitted their mistakes.

I certainly would not recommend The Brome Grange to anyone in the future, these are not people I would want to do business with again.
