Run Down. Terrible Service.
Never any staff about and they are very slow at responding to requests or questions.
We have eaten in the restaurant for years due to family living near by but service levels and food quality have been on a steady decline. The service levels lady time I ate there were particually poor as the senior management were in the ba drinking with friends and had all the staff running after them to the expense of the paying customers.
The furniture and rooms are dated and in dire need of decorating and "patching over". It wouldn't take much and considering the room prices you would experience it to be done as regularly.
On prices, considering the price of drinks, you would think that bottles from the fridge to be cold, and the draughts beer not to be flat. They never are!! As for champagne..... Almost £10 per glass and we were given flat 'champagne' I asked to see the bottle to be shown a sparkling wine worth all of about £4.
The place is a shambles. I will not be going back whilst under current management!

Rowton Hall Hotel Provides A Country Mansion With
Rowton Hall Hotel provides a country mansion with wonderful gardens as a backdrop for photographs but also offers a relaxed interior: our guests didn't feel on edge about breaking antiques! The service throughout the day was excellent and the attention we received from our Duty Manager, Peter Snowden, went beyond excellent. Everyone had a wonderful time with the winning combination of venue, food, accommodation and service.
