Gretna Chase Hotel, Gretna Green

We have just returned from our wedding weekend at the Gretna Chase Hotel We stayed for two nights along with our guests. What a fantastic time we had. The food is excellent, beautiful bridal suite, lovely guest rooms. The cleanliness of the hotel is exceptional and the staff are fantastic. The hotel staff made our wedding so special and conducted the stay with such professionalism. Everything and more than we imagined. Would recommend this hotel to anybody thinking of getting married at Gretna. Absolutely magical.

We stayed at this hotel for our wedding along with all our guests. We all had the deluxe rooms which were perfect and definitely deluxe! The food was brilliant breakfast had plenty of choice and our wedding reception meal was absolutely perfect and presented lovely. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and all that we asked for was accommodated.

The only thing wrong was the romeo and juliet bridal suite, we used this obviously on our wedding night it was in the older part of the hotel which I feel they now need to bring up to the same standard of the new part. The room itself was ok but I thought the bathroom needed work, when I flushed the loo there was a horrible noise for a good 10 minutes or so (not exactly romantic!) and also I think the water system needed flushing as when we ran the bath a lot of little bits of grit came out of the taps. The other 2 bridal suites in the hotel were taken and these were in the new part of the hotel I would imagine these are on the same par as the deluxe so would definitely recommend these. I wish we had stayed in a deluxe room on our wedding night now.

However I would definitely recommend this hotel ensuring you and your guests get the deluxe rooms. The gardens are perfect for extra wedding photos very well kept and pretty. If visiting Gretna again I would stay in a deluxe room in this hotel.

We stayed at the gretna chase for our daughter's wedding with all the guests and most of our guests were dissatisfied with the condition of their room. It is sad to say that in my opinion, the whole hotel is in desperate need of some TLC.

would not stay at this hotel again which is a shame as we were in Glasgow a couple of months before and found the scottish people very friendly and accommodating.

I felt the hotel itself was overpriced for the standard of the rooms there was problems with the electricity in a lot of the rooms about 10 out of 40 guests had this.some of our rooms in the old part of the hotel ran out of hot water very quickly.Some of our guests said the beds were very noisy and uncomfortable.

I think the worst part of this hotel are some of the staff. I'm not sure they knew the saying "service with a smile" as it seemed as if anything we asked of them was too much trouble.

Gretna Chase Hotel, Gretna Green - We have just returned from our wedding in gretna green and we stayed at the gretna chase hotel. We had our wedding meal, evening buffet and disco there and everthing was perfect.

We stayed in the Adam and Eve Bridal suite but had guests at our wedding staying in club, superior and deluxe rooms and everyone was more than happy with their rooms. The hotel gardens was beautiful and was perfect for taking photos. The hotel staff set the room up for the meal and did it perfect, the meal that we had was fantastic and everyone commented on it and to say the least no one went hungry. The evening buffet was served hot and was also fantastic and the disco that the hotel booked for us was superb they was not just dj's they was entertainers and everyone agreed, they are called S&G sounds disco and karaoke. If anyone is looking to get married in gretna then I would not hesitate in recommending the gretna chase hotel and the disco named above.
