Fredericks, Islington, London

Perfect place. Got married at Fredericks in Islington in July 2004, and had the best day of my life. We operated on a fairly tight budget and this came out much more reasonable than most other central London venues. It is much nicer than many other places I saw and everything is organised for you. They were extremely flexible, we brought in our own flowers and tablecards, added a couple of guests at the last minute and they let us stay in the garden after the reception etc. Everything, including payment, was organised in such a tidy way. It is a beautiful place, the garden was a real hit with the children and many guests said it was the best wedding they had ever been to.

Fredericks, Islington, London - We had both our civil ceremony and wedding reception at Fredericks (May 2005) and it was the most FANTASTIC venue!! If you're looking for a central London location, with a garden, this is the perfect place. We had an intimate civil ceremony in the private room for 50. Champagne was served at a mosaic tiled bar in the garden which was great! Photos were taken in the small garden which is very green. The dinner was held in the beautifully light conservatory. The whole venue is light, airy, modern and contemporary which is just what we were looking for. Best of all was the food and service/staff. So many guests have said the food and wine was excellent, the best wedding menu they have ever had. In addition, they all said the service/staff was exceptional, there was never a glass empty and the staff even used the guests names to address them which was a lovely touch. The staff took care of everything, we did not have to ask for anything, it was all pre-empted perfectly. Even our suppliers, e.g., photographer, video guy said that it's the best wedding food they've had and they have been to many venues. Fredericks is also excellent value for money, whilst it's a central London location the prices were not inflated to reflect this. There is a small venue hire charge, no exclusivity charge and the wedding menu cost also includes canapes. The wedding organiser is wonderful, she was very professional and helped out with all the minute details a bride worries about. I would definitely recommend Fredericks: Excellent venue, wonderful staff and a Perfect Day! (also, if you do use Fredericks then you can also use suppliers they recommend.
