had an appointment with a senior stylist for colouring. However after my colour was applied, I was left in the hands of a trainee(I think) to wash my hair. This was not done in a very nice manner, as I had water and shampoo dripping down my face(not ideal when one has to return to work)!

I was then told yet another trainee(I presume again) was going to dry my hair. I found her manner and skills questionable.

She asked me how I would like it dried and I said straight with some volume. She went on to painsytakingly dry nearly every strand. When she was half way through, I said i was in a hurry and could she just dry it straight. She apologised and then went on to dry it in 2 minutes in a very amateur manner!

Through the process, I found her attitude and comments very flippant. Here are some of her comments.

"What tretament did you have and what colour were you hoping to achieve?"

"I can't really see the colour"

" oh now that it's drying I can see it subtly"

"you should opt for a permanent colour next time for a better result"

One comes to a salon to attempt to look good and I found her comments uncomplimentary.

I was charged £30.00 for what was more or less a trainee job other than the actual mixing and application of the colour.

Unfortunately do not think I will be returning!

I am a regular customer at Richardson Murray and always receive professional service. Staff are friendly and talented. I go forbeauty as well as hair and I always walk out feeling a million dollars. Their new facials are incredible.

I have had my hair cut and coloured several times at this salon and I have always found the staff to be very friendly and professional. I recently had my long hair re-styled and highlighted and I am absolutely delighted with the results. I have had so many compliments from friends and colleagues that I will definitely be returning for ongoing hair treatments.

I agree with the other reviewer. I got haircut by the director of the salon (£50) and she spent 30 mins talking and 5 mins cutting my hair! I told her NOT to cut me short fringe but she did! She was obviously too busy talking and NOT listening to her client. She doesn't seen to have any professionalism either - shouting across the salon, lack of respect for her client. Totally unhappy with her attitude and the cut.

Total chaos. Really disorganised. Had hair and make up done for a wedding at Richardson Murray, Glasgow and it took three people to do make up! One guy did make up, then a woman came and put my eyeliner on, then another was assigned to lipstick. Someone else did my nails too. No continuity at all. For £50, I'd have expected better.
