Everything went fine with ordering my dress and making the alterations and I was happy with everything. However, Zomo Couture suddenly closed their shop without informing their customers - no note left on the window of the shop, no emails or calls regarding this. I tried calling and emailing as they still had my dress for alterations and I was very worried! All I saw was an empty shop! Finally received an email from them asking me to pick the dress up at their home far away. I asked them to courier it, for which I finally had to pay even though they didn't inform me of the closing of the shop and this made it inconvenient to me. Upon receiving the dress, I noticed that they had not done the alterations as we had discussed. This is not really the service I expect as a customer...

After trying on so many dresses at so many places, I couldnt find THE dress. Upon a visit in London with my mom, we decided to try out zomo. She gave us a warm welcome and asked questions regarding what kind of dress I wanted. That's when she knew the exact dress that would fit all my wishes! It was love at first sight. We tried others just to be sure and there is no doubt about it... she knows best! The small family owned feel of the place also made this experience very I intimate. I highly recommend Zomo to any down to earth bride!

From the moment my mum aunty and maid of honour were escorted into the shop, we were made to feel uncomfortable, and out of place. Considering my budget stretches to about £3000, I was made to feel like a leper. The dresses were nice but I wasn't asked one thing about my wedding, just what style of dress. I wasn't asked to look and pick out dresses, I was stood there awkwardly while she brought up dresses and didn't even know what I would like. I was then given a dress to try on which she undid and didn't even help me in to them. No private area to change which left me feeling vulnerable and insecure.

Altogether the worst out of 7 wedding shops visited.

Zomo Couture is by far THE BEST wedding dress shop in London & Kent. I bough my wedding dress (Tia - Benjamin Roberts) from here for my wedding abroad (Cape Town) in February 2013.

The service was excellent from start to finish. I went on my own to most of the dress shops as my MOH lived abroad and Mary was so wonderful, kind, patient & understanding. From my first appointment she gave me the best advice and recommended styles that would suit my body and the weather in South Africa. Mary did the most wonderful job altering the dress that I liked and turned it into something that I utterly loved.

I am honestly baffled at some of the reviews on here, but if you take the time to read why some brides only gave this shop one star it's actually laughable. "we weren't made to feel welcome "not the way I was expected to be treated at a bride" seriously???? Yes a wedding is a very special event, but these brides sound like bridezillas from the first fitting, so what if you didn't get a glass if champagne, if you want one, go to a bar afterwards. I wanted a gorgeous dress at a decent price, with reliable service & an excellent alteration department, that is exactly what I got.

Zomo couture is incredibly well priced, the staff are very knowledgable & everything from start to finish was on time and exceeded my expectations.

From the bottom of my overflowing heart, thank you for making me look like a million dollars on my wedding day, I did not want to take my dress off and received so many compliments.

I decided to get an appointment at Zomo Couture having looked on line at their collections and reading reviews on here. To say we were greeted warmly & made to feel welcome would be a massive exaggeration! We were not even spoken to upon our arrival, left to stand in the front of the shop, hard to call it a reception area as it was so small. We were then silently escorted through to the seating area & told to sit. There were then several books of dresses put in front of us...again without comment. At this time there were other people in the shop trying on flower girl dresses around us. We looked through the collections in the books & chose the ones I would try. Next the person who was to oversee my appointment approached us, she sat down & asked which of us was getting married & I said me. She then said they did not actually have many of the dresses in the books we had been left with as these were the 2013 collection, there had been no mention of this before. I then told her which styles I was interested in trying on, only 2 of which they had. I tried on these dresses & my CBM then asked if there were any similar to the one I liked, the assistant went reluctantly to get another dress. Having tried this one on I was informed to put my clothes back on. During this time the next appointment had arrived 15 minutes early for her appointment & been told to come back later. The whole experience thankfully only lasted 30 mins. Having been to 2 other wedding dress shops without by CBM I was deeply embarrassed by the way we were treated but felt I couldn't walk out as she had come down from Nottingham especially. A massive disappointment and not the service I feel any Bride to be deserves! The real shame of this is that the dresses the shop stocks are nice, just the environment inside the shop and the service we received did not inspire me to buy my dress from them.

Friendly staff, good choice of dresses and reasonable prices. Everything is done in a good frame of time with no messing about.

Good for Iranian brides

went to several of the well known 'designer' bridal shops before I stopped into the store on the way home from a tiring day of trying dresses. Where the other stores had put me off with pushy staff asking what you wanted from a dress and then putting you in either what was nearest, or I suspect, most expensive RFDG / Zomo Couture was a really welcome change! Mary let me try on several dresses at my own leisure as I reduced my choices to two options. If you want someone who will lie and tell you look great in everything - this isn't for you. If you want someone who is honest and a specialist able to advise what styles and elements will suit you - you need to meet Mary!

I chose the perfect dress on my first visit and have loved it ever since. I thought it would be one fitting, alterations and take it away, but Mary is a perfectionist and has made it perfect! She has taken away all my worries from adding bra hooks so my underwear will not show, to adding hooks in my underskirt so I can bustle the dress should it rain.

If you want someone to flatter you into a pricey dress that doesn't suit you - go to one of the bigger stores, if you want a dress that will really suit you, altered perfectly with specialist advice - make sure you go to Zomo and see Mary! I don't normally review - but I have had enough to worry about with a big wedding to plan and haven't had to worry about my dress at all because of where I bought it - so would advise anyone else to do the same!
