Shanna Melville Bridal Couture

I happened to come across Shanna Melville as I was going for a run through Wimbledon Village. I was literally stopped in my tracks by a dress of hers displayed in the window of the dry cleaners (which turned out to be my second choice can you believe it). I rang Shanna for a try-on and instantly fell in love with her dresses. They are exquisitely made with the finest materials.

I had an idea already for the style of dress I wanted and I bought with me a picture to show her. Shanna put me in a few similar dresses of hers so that I could get an idea of the shape etc. Once i had decided on my design it was all go from there.

Shanna displayed absolute professionalism and expertise throughout all of my fittings. She knew exactly what I was going for before I did! She was never pushy or opinionated and let me come to my own decision on all aspects of dress and only ever offered up advice when asked or when she could see I was unsure.

The dress itself was made to perfection. It literally fitted like a glove and every little detail was of the highest quality. I had so many comments on my dress about how lovely and stunning it was.

I would definitely recommend Shanna Melville to anybody. Her and her teams workmanship is second to none and to top it off Shanna is such a lovely person to deal with in the run up to a wedding.

I had a very specific idea of what I wanted my wedding dress to look like, and Shanna listened to this and created a dress that absolutely loved. Even when I changed my mind about a certain part of the dress, she was patient and understanding - when I'm sure many designers would be frustrated and annoyed by my indecisiveness! After trying on and searching for wedding dresses at several designers, Shanna Melville was the only designer that made my experience truly special and was able to make my dress exactly how I wanted it. Having trapsed round every wedding shop I knew of in Central London (first stop was Castigliano - very pushy indeed which put me right off!), I cannot stress enough how incredible my entire Wedding Dress experience was the minute I embarked upon a journey with Shanna Melville.

I am known for being meticulous when deciding on a such a special fashion acquisition - a problem made only harder by having worked in fashion and having fairly fixed ideas of what my dream dress would look like. With the exception of Castigliano (outstanding quality and workmanship), most of the wedding dress samples I tried on in Knightsbridge, Fulham, Wimbledon etc. were dirty/torn, had clumsy seaming and bulky bodywork and their prices did not reflect the finished products which lacked that 'wow' factor.

My last stop was Shanna Melville who had me at the first sample they showed me. They have worked extensively with 2 of London's Elite Bridal Designers, one of which I had visited but e/thing I didn't like re their collection, they had perfected outstandingly. Shanna Melville is affordable couture at it's very best.

Shanna has the most incredible attention to detail; artistic and creative flair; dedication and passion in her work; patience(!); and above all the ability to make your dreams come true!

We immediately sat down and together designed my dream dress for a fraction of the price of any I had seen previously. The fabrics are stunningly high quality and she can offer an array of different qualities and tones to suit all budgets. The workmanship is second to none that I had come across and the personal service that she endeavoured to provide was simply Saintly! We had only 4-5 fittings from beginning to end and at every fitting, we tweaked the design to make it more and more perfect as we went. At one point, I wanted to make a fairly dramatic change to the design and we discussed it together, agreed and Shanna obliged. They also made the longest train most of my guests had ever seen at a non-royal wedding and it looked STUNNING! I would recommend Shanna Melville Bridal Couture to anyone any time. They are a genious and a hidden talent... my advice would be to go and see them before they goes International - it's just a matter of time!

Shanna Melville Bridal Couture was such an enjoyable experience from start to finish having Shanna make my wedding dress. Shanna was so patient with me - even during a couple of wobbles! The end result exceeded my expectations and was so beautiful - I can't stop looking at the photos! I had so many compliments on the day and since.

Shanna Melville Bridal Couture create beautiful made to measure wedding dresses. The dresses are excellent value and the service is second to none. The lovely shop is convenient to get to and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. I trusted Shanna Melville Bridal Couture completely in their ideas about the design of the dress and I was not disappointed. The entire process of working with them on my wedding dress has been a pleasure.

My friend who visited the store with me commented that she would like to get married again, just to be able to wear one of Shanna's beautiful dresses! I would be more than happy to recommend to any upcoming bride.
