Really shocked by other bad reviews so wanted to post my good experience!

I went to several of the well known 'designer' bridal shops before I stopped into the store on the way home from a tiring day of trying dresses. Where the other stores had put me off with pushy staff asking what you wanted from a dress and then putting you in either what was nearest, or I suspect, most expensive RFDG / Zomo Couture was a really welcome change!

Mary let me try on several dresses at my own leisure as I reduced my choices to two options. If you want someone who will lie and tell you look great in everything - this isn't for you. If you want someone who is honest and a specialist able to advise what styles and elements will suit you - you need to meet Mary!

I chose the perfect dress on my first visit and have loved it ever since. I thought it would be one fitting, alterations and take it away, but Mary is a perfectionist and has made it perfect! She has taken away all my worries from adding bra hooks so my underwear will not show, to adding hooks in my underskirt so I can bustle the dress should it rain.

If you want someone to flatter you into a pricey dress that doesn't suit you - go to one of the bigger stores, if you want a dress that will really suit you, altered perfectly with specialist advice - make sure you go to Zomo and see Mary! I don't normally review - but I have had enough to worry about with a big wedding to plan and haven't had to worry about my dress at all because of where I bought it - so would advise anyone else to do the same!

Please note she had now changed her address to titch field street London under the name DON'T TELL THE BRIDE. Not surprising seeing that she has nothing but bad reviews she's very rude nd arrogant!

i went here with my 5 bridesmaids the owner lady was not welcoming or friendly, i spent 980 on the dresses plus 300 on alterations which shouldnt have needed it as they were all measured. she made a big mistake with one of the dresses instead of just adjusting the bust area she took the whole dress out not knowing this till the day of my wedding causing alot of stress having 1 of my bridesmaids with safety pins holding her dress up to fit when i rung the lady she was just shouting and kept hanging the phone up on me so i kept calling back and she insisted that she couldnt have made a mistake and just told me to take her to court which is what i plan to do. looking at all these other reviews really wish i had seen them before i would have stayed well clear of that shop.

I booked an appointment to be fitted for a bridesmaid dress. When I arrived slightly earlier than the agreed time the owner was shutting the shop. She reluctantly let me in then told what I can only assume was an elaborate lie to get rid of me and told me to come back another time.

When I went back they measured me up and took my order but did not fill me with confidence - I really get the impression they did not know what they were doing.

2 months later, as instructed, I called the shop to see if my order was in. They could not find my order and said they would call me back. When they did call back they told me the order would be in at the end of June. The wedding was in June! I told them I needed it sooner, and had "yes yes I'm sure that will be ok" - not an answer filling me with confidence! Especially as I needed it adjusting.

I then managed to find the dress on ebay and so bought it there. I then phoned RFDG to cancel the order and get a refund of the £85 deposit I had to put down. They refuse to refund the deposit and hung up on me. I guess I'll be seeing them again in small claims court...

I booked an appointment for my friend to look at wedding dresses for her wedding well in advance. We arrived literally two minutes before our scheduled appointment time and were told very rudely to go away and come back on time! When we came back we were allowed in the shop, but then just given some swatches and a book of bridesmaids dress designs and left for 15 minutes - we think this was because the previous appointment seemed to be overrunning. Once they had sorted the person before us out, they asked if we had "decided what you want?" - I had to explain again that the bride was here to look at wedding dresses, not bridesmaids dresses! They were reasonably helpful once they actually got round to trying dresses on her and one the assistant picked out for her made her top 3, but having read the other reviews on this site I am very glad she didn't end up buying here!

Called the store to ask about dresses/availability. The person was rude and dismissive. If this is the service they provide to customers making enquiries, then they certainly don't deserve my custom.

Avoid this place! I attended with my five bridesmaids for dress fittings for us all.

When I tried on my dresses - she grabbed the back of the dress and pulled me out of the fitting room every time. When my maid of honour suggested a dress she told her i wouldn't suit it and refused to give it to me.

When they laced up the corset on the first dress i wore they spoke to eachother in another language and made me feel very uncomfortable.

When it came to my bridesmaids trying on dresses, she only let the two skinniest bridesmaids try dresses on, even though one of these dresses was as big as a size 16 and was falling off her size 10 frame. One of my other bridesmaids, a size 14 got to try on one dress but the woman took it off her and told her one of the skinnier bridesmaids had to wear it, even though it fit her perfectly!

She then read all the bridesmaids measurements out loud whilst there were other people in the store and made them all feel very uncomfortable.

She upset us all and ruined our day.

Avoid at all cost!

In February 2011, I ordered two gowns for my wedding (Alfred Angelo 1136 and White One by Pronovias 427) from RFDG for my wedding in September 2011. The owner was very helpful in helping me choose the fashions since they flattered my petite frame. The dresses were offered at a 15% discount because I paid upfront. The dresses were delivered on the exact dates they said they would be delivered. The adjustments were impeccable.I was really happy. On all the days I went there to do fittings, there were many other brides with appointments to do fittings and some were placing orders, this boosted my confidence in the shop. They are genuine and very professional. I would recommend to a friend.

I'm going to try to keep this brief by saying rude bully of a shop owner. Scammed me by ordering my dress 2 sizes to big and then charging me a fortune (£260, down from £300, only because she felt embarrassed I was arguing infront of other customers). Got home week before the wedding, found a hole in my veil, jacket didn't fit and chest area was gaping. Luckily got my jacket fixed at extra expense despite telling the shop owner in two fittings how I wanted it but she didn't listen. Was left with a gaping chest area which is sometimes noticeable in my wedding photos and which I have get edited by my photographer. Will never recommend anyone to go there, please avoid, I didn't do my research beforehand and naively fell in love with the dress without shopping around for the same one, I don't even want to think how much she overcharged me on the dress.....

I can't begin to explain how much I wish I'd read these reviews before I chose to buy my bridesmaid dresses here.

Unfortunately the location / the fact they were recommended by Alfred Angelo lured me into thinking they would be a professional outlet.

The whole experience was uncomfortable. Staff were rude & there were significant language barriers around communicating what we wanted or needed. We were not made to feel welcome or special - which is incredible when yuo consider the cost of the dresses.

Upon arrival, one of the dresses was too small (the size ordered was below the measurements taken at the time) & would not do up at the back. This was highly unpleasant for the bridesmaid in question as the dress simply would not zip up - and at no point was she made to feel that the position could be rectified by tailoring. We had waited months for the dresses, and she was obviously terrified.

RFDG took two attempts to tailor amendments, none of which worked. During the process, they also (unrequested) got the tailor to cut the dress to the knee (all the other dresses were long). They were rude & blamed my bridesmaids for this error - I have never known such rudeness and poor customer service.

We then needed to buy a completely new dress for the bridesmaid in question - meaning that she did not match any of the others on my big day. This obviously incurred yet more cost, and regardless we were not refunded any of the significant cost of the original dress.

Another of the dresses - for a five year old - had been ordered for an eight year old (including a boned chest!). Completely inappropriate. We had this tailored off-site to fit, albeit at the expense of (yet more) significant time and cost.

I am going to make an official complaint to Alfred Angelo with regards to the unpleasantness of the experience, but in the meantime, ladies of London, please discourage ANYONE you know from using this store. The experience I had has nearly ruined my wedding.
