I first went to this shop and the owner was lovely, found a beautiful dress. My dress came in to store and it was perfect except she wouldn't even let me try my shoes or veil on with it or my something borrowed ( my tiara) as it wasn't bought in her shop. I was disgusted with this as I also bought 6 bridesmaid dresses. It didn't stop there. Went to get bridesmaid dresses fitted and I had already paid £180 each. She wanted to charge £40 to alter busts and another £40 to alter hem and she wanted cash. I didn't have the money for this and all 6 needed to be altered. Her attitude changed completely towards me from my first visit. It was as though she got my money and then turned. It really ruined my experience. My friend pulled all our dresses out of the shop. Avoid j a wedding design Bungay.

I had a bad experience here, waitied 8 months for my dress, i was told six.

then arrived and was wrong, was told it must have been my fault and she would charge me, had to get my mum to call as she had paid for the dress and the woman accused us of 'just wanting compensation', which was not the case i just wanted my dress.

she then said they would sort it but i had to wait six more months for it to arrive, did come bit sooner, but it is now hanging at my mums and after going over it, it is DIRTY underside and i found GRASS in the lace, im not impressed as it seems my mum has paid alot of money and ive not even got a new dress :(

My daughter and I had a lovely time at J A Weddings 3 visits in total with tea biscuits and lots of patience. Very professional yet not pushy in any way with lots of time to decide and change our order. I am sure this other reviewer went to a different shop entirely or has issues. Happy to recommend anytime.

What an overall awful experience.

Sales staff are pushy (thats being nice).

They do not listen to you the customers opinions.

They put you in the wrong size dress, and tell you it fits.

If you want to feel special on that very special day. Do not visit J A Wedding Designs Ltd in Bungay Suffolk.

Avoid it like the plague.
