The lady running this shop was so helpful and patient and down to earth, what a refreshing change to some of the other bridal shops I've visited! She didn't suggest ridiculous prices for alterations, was willing to sell me a sample dress reduced and repaired and was upfront about what needed doing to it...such a change as other shops can be money grabbing and unscrupulous. I ended up getting my dress privately but it was a close call - the service alone was more than I could have asked for and I felt awful having to go elsewhere - but in the end I had to watch my budget.

Buying a wedding dress can be stressful and confusing, but having someone supportive and a good eye for what suits you really helps. She was also very patient with my 3 year old daughter and didn't mind her looking at things - other shops have been a bit offhand when you take a child with you. I wish more shops could have this kind of customer service - getting married is stressful enough without second-guessing the intentions of the shop owners! I've had a really awful experience elsewhere so know a good thing when I see it....use her shop especially if you're local, this is an example of a business that deserves to be around.
