Excellent service I was nervous about finding a dress that suited me as I am 4ft11 and big busted, I was made to feel welcome I was not rushed along and tried as many dresses on as I wanted.

They allowed me to wear my heals to try the dresses and clipped the dresses in to fit properly they also brought out accessories to give me an idea of what to wear on the day, their suggestions were fantastic completely different from what I thought I wanted, and they didn't just suggest the most expensive dresses they picked the dresses out that suited me regardless of the price.

It was good as the appointment was just for me so there was no awkward moments waiting for other brides to finish looking in the mirror, I would definitely reccomend bride and joy to friends and family I have a beautiful dress from there as soon as I tried it on I knew it was the one

I can't recommend Bride & Joy highly enough. I was helped by Sandra & Vicky and was made to feel so welcome. I was quite nervous of what style of dress to go for as I'm a mature bride and only 5'1. The experience they have was clear after they asked me a few questions to get some idea of where to star, so I left it up to them to suggest various styles. I went with the 2nd dress they picked out for me - even though I still tried others, I would never have thought this would suit me but it is perfect. My daughter also got her bridesmaid dress at the same time, she too wouldn't have chosen that but loved it as soon as she put it on. I felt like I had known them years. I would say even if you have an idea of what you want, listen to their advise as they really know their stuff.

I can't praise the service received at Bride & Joy highly enough. Once my dress had arrived in the shop, I was terribly late for my first fitting due to getting hopelessly lost in the torrential rain but she was extremely understanding and patiently gave me numerous directions over the phone until I finally managed to find my way. The dress went too and fro to the seamstress over the following weeks to have many alterations to make it smaller. She calmed all my fears, insisting the dress went back to the seamstress until I was completely happy with it. The seamstress, did a first class job and worked with her to get the right end result. I have to say that it was all well worth the effort, as my dress looked absolutely perfect on my wedding day. She is a very calming influence, she is a caring, professional lady, dedicated to providing brides with the dress of their dreams.

I cannot recommend these ladies enough!!! they are sooo lovely originally spotted them at the MK wedding fair called the monday after and was able to make an appt for a few days later. They are so lovely really help you and advise you. Make you feel comfortable and relaxed and were the first shop not to be patronising and actually listened to you dresses are gorgeous and fab prices. As the lady said you get a lot of dress for the money.

Im so pleased with my dress I nearly cried they could tell how in love with my dress I am. Sooooo excited about going back to see the finished dress!!!!

On two occasions I have been spoken to on the phone in a very abrupt and frankly, rude manner. I was nothing but friendly on the initial call and apologetic on the second call as I had to cancel my appointment at the last minute but the responses that I received were appalling.

I understand that last minute cancellations are frustrating for the shop as they leave unfilled gaps but I do not expect to be spoken to in such a way.

I will not be re-booking the appointment, I will not be recommending this shop and I will certainly not be spending a single penny of my money in this shop!

The final cheek was that I was only allowed to re-book an appointment if I paid a 25% deposit in advance... JUST TO SEE THE DRESSES!!! I haven't even taken a step in the shop and they want my money.

All I can say is that if you want your dress shopping to be a pleasurable experience, avoid this shop at all costs!

from the minute my mum and i entered the shop we we're welcomed with open arms which ment a lot as i was not looking forward to trying dresses on, i was made to feel so relaxed that i loved every minute of being there.... i found my dream dress and didn't want to take it off. the shop was so clean it sparkled ,can't wait to go back for another fitting .. well done ladies don't change a thing your both great x see you soon sam x

lovely ladys,very helpful.i couldnt get my dress on properly on my wedding-day and needed help.so my bridesmaid called the shop and 1 of the girls came 2 my house 2 get me in my dress.without her doing that 4 me,i wouldnt of known what 2 do.so a big thank you 2 them.very greatful.x.

From my first phone call to make an appointment with Bride and Joy when I was asked if I knew what type of dress I was looking for, to my final purchase with them I was not disappointed. Based on my description of the dress and look I wanted Sandra had a dress in mind which ended up being the dress I bought - I couldn't be happier.

Sandra's knowledge of her stock is amazing, her friendly, down-to-earth approach was very welcome as were her ideas on accessories to complete my individual look. She took my, and my Matron-of-Honour's comments/concerns and ideas seriously as I tried on different dresses whilst it remained a fun, relaxing experience.

The idea of wearing white cotton gloves when choosing and trying on dresses is brilliant, it means that all the dresses are spotless and there was no worry of accidently snagging the dresses. It's inspired me to wear gloves with my wedding dress - thanks Sandra.

She gave me practical advice, and informed me of their aftersales service, I have total trust and faith in Sandra and her business.

My experience of Bride and Joy has not ended here and I look forward to seeing Sandra and Emma again later in the year as my wedding gets closer.

I had tried on many dresses in various shops in and around MK over the last few months and so have comparisons and I would have no hesitation in recommending Bride and Joy; finding the right dress for me was their priority and they certainly made me feel like a Bride.

Bride and Joy had been recommended to me by a friend, and the fantastic service I received didn't disappoint. Please don't be put off by one bad review and look at all the other really good ones that have been logged. I rang the shop to book an appointment and was offered a Saturday afternoon which was convenient for me. I went with my mum, just for a look at styles etc and bought my perfect dress on the first visit!!! The ladies in the shop were very friendly, and made me feel at ease and at no time did I feel that anything was too much trouble. I tried on loads of dresses and they really helped me decide what style suited me best but without being pushy. My mum described the experience as "really wonderful". She was made to feel really involved and the ladies chatted to her all the time I was getting in and out of dresses in the changing room. There is such a lovely, relaxed atmosphere and what I really liked was that you were made to feel like the most important bride in the world with full attention being placed on you. I was so pleased with my experience that I also went back a couple of weeks later with my two bridesmaids to get their dresses. I have to see that I would recommend Bride and Joy to anyone and can't wait to go back for my fittings in the New Year!!!

I sent Bride & Joy an email to book an appointment and received a call back the same day to book a convenient date & time.

I then decided to look at the reviews on the net and was worried about going because of a review on this site.

I arrived for my appointment 30 minuets late (relied on tomtom and it stopped working) i was worried about the reception i would receive once i arrived but they were fine and made mum and i feel very welcome.

I found a dress that i loved and did not want to take it off, it is beautiful. I wanted to buy it then but i had another shop to go to after so decided to go as i had an appointment booked with them.

I found another dress that was OK the service OK they were slightly pushy.

I wanted to try on the dress again at Bride & Joy so i sent them an email to book another appointment and received a very prompt reply with a time and date that was convenient for me.

I went to an evening appointment with my Mum, Sister and my daughter who is 22 months old. They were great with my daughter and helped keep her occupied whilst she was in her pushchair.

I tried on my dress and knew straight away it was THE dress so we went ahead and ordered. They were great with me, my family and the service provided was brilliant, i have no concerns for my future contact with them.

Also whilst we were at Bride and Joy my sister (who is a size 18) tried on some bridesmaid dresses, not once was she made to feel bad or judged by her size, she was also happy with the way she was treated and is going back in December to select a dress.

I am very excited and looking forward to the arrival of my dress. I am getting married in Mexico in march 2012 and Bride & Joy will also be packing my dress in a hand luggage box for me so i do not have to worry about it being lost or trampled on, it is great peace of mind for me.

All in all a GREAT service from GREAT genuine people :0)
