Bridal House of Chester, Cheshire

Having been in to look at dresses with my sister and two babies and encouraged to try them on by a very helpful young assistant on a week day and with my Mum on a weekend without an appointment, I found my dress. The lady who sold us the dress was not particularly helpful and kept suggesting I should loose 4/5 pounds to fit the dress. However, the measuring lady came and we ordered the right size. The other lady still tried to sell me the scrappy and dirty sample dress, even though it was the wrong size!

The dress arrived when it was supposed to and I had it fitted by a lovely lady who also ordered my veil. They are not particularly organised as when they rang to say the veil had arrived my Mum suggested they keep it with the dress which they had no recollection of having! Not what you want to hear!

Beautiful dresses but a right mix of staff and varying levels of helpfulness.

OMG I cannot believe you got such a bad service for your special day. I can only say that my experience was fantastic. The ladies were so helpful as I could't decide which dress I wanted, I wanted to go to other shops but was afraid I would lose the dress I had chosen there. They were so helpful they put the dress aside for 6 hours even though there was another woman waiting to snap it up, they altered it many times.

Absolutely awful service! we arrived early, and was made to wait 30minutes before a room was available. Once taken to a changing room, the woman clearly had no time for us, i got 10 minutes to try on the dresses i wanted. She yanked them on and off and didnt give me time to look at them whilst on properly, one dress was ripped off so quick i have a very large deep cut up the inside of my chest and down my arm. Although the dresses are beatiful i have no faith in the customer service and would rather get married in a bin bag!

After booking an appointment and writing it on my calendar I turned up to be told I had missed it (due to them recording it incorrectly in their diary. I was told I could try on in a back room that was pokey and dark. The dresses I selected were tossed onto the floor and I was offered no help to put them on. Samples were dirty and I was offered no advice or suggestions. Overall a disappointing experience!

Was surprised by the adverse criticism. my daughter has found them to be very helpful. They were never pushie and encouraged her to look around before deciding. Alterations and fittings were carried out at a weekend and were always at a time to suit us. we were very happy with the service.

I did not have a pleasant experience in the bridal house of chester, i was made to feel as if i was wasting their time and embaressed about looking for my dress a year before the wedding. They gave me no help in selecting dresses or letting me try any on, all i was told was they would be recieving a new collection soon, and to come back then. After finding a dress i liked they wouldn't even bother writing the details down for me. I wil not be visiting again.

The way i was treated and the way my dresses were treated was disgusting i wudnt reccomend you to family and friends as i dont think it was dealt with correctly.

My wedding dress shopping has begun with just under 2 years before the big day. With lots to organise and sheer excitement my bridesmaid and I decided to go around and gather ideas for the style of dress which would suit. After visiting a few other shops we ventured into the Bridal House where we were eventually met by a lady who after I explained when the wedding told me ' there will be more dresses arriving September. ' She pulled out something that was no where near my original description of what I was looking for. She gave the impression that we were wasting her time and didn ' t even offer to show us any other of the current dresses to get a feel for the styles available. We left shocked at the low level of service and poor attitude here. All I can say is first impressions here was not good and I will not be returning when the 'new dresses' have arrived.

As soon as I walked into Bridal House of Chester I felt nothing was too much trouble . The staff are very friendly and have a wealth of experince.

I found my dream dress . I would recomend the shop very highly.

I will also get my Brides /Maids and mens suits from there. Lovely looking shop , friendly staff , very good range of dresses

My sister got her gown from Bridal House of Chester a few years ago and the service was ok. I went there as it was the shop that I knew and was delighted to find my perfect dress. The service I got was brilliant and the lady who looked after me was fantastic and couldn't do enough.

It was pointed out to me when I ordered that it was now under new ownership and I am glad it is as I can't wait for my dress to arrive and to go and try it on, it has truly been a wonderful experience!
