Berketex Bride, Manchester

We entered the Manchester branch and I never known such bad service..The woman ask what my budget was and her rude comments was you need to up your budget !

She grab two dresses for me ..I asked her about the length for alterations as it was to long.

Her response was you have to get that altered yourself rudely.

She walk away and never came back !

She went over to the other assistant in the shop laughing and talking to them.

We left! wouldn’t recommend this shop at all

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to Suzanne, Farah and Jay for your advice and kind support and for making my beautiful wedding dress for me. I really can't thank you girls enough for everything you have done for me over the last year. I truly looked and felt like a princess we such a lovely day. I would highly recommend the Arndale store in Manchester to any bride to be, if you are looking for your wedding dress.

Upon booking our wedding, it was decided we would have a day out trying on dresses. We stumbled across the Manchester branch and found a lot of dresses I really liked. I tried a few on and really fell in love with 'the one'.

A couple of days later I took my mum and maid of honour to see and decided to purchase that and the accessories and could not of been happier.

I arranged to pick up my dress (which was made to measure) and decided to take along my jewellery and shoes to try everything together. I thought that way, if any alterations were needed, I could arrange it then. But when I got there and was met with a very rude manageress, I was told I couldn't try it on as they were busy and didn't have time. It was empty!

So basically, they took my money and once the dress was ready to hand over, they couldn't care less. This made me feel so unappreciated and worried about any problems that may be with the dress. I chose to spend money for the most important day in my life in that store and their customer service was appalling!

Although the dress was beautiful and our day was a memorable one, I would never shop in this store again, nor would I advise anybody else to.

My sister is getting married in October next year and she had chose her dress with her friends and wanted me,my other sister and mum to see it so we decided to make a day of it and travel over from HALIFAX to get the dress and spend the day in Manchester. After one minute of being in the shop I had my doubts it was not what I would have expected a bridal shop to be. My sister came out of the dressing room and it was don't get me wrong a beautiful dress but I knew my sister wasn't happy it just didn't sit right on her. After asking the assistant if she could change her mind she just said with a none enthusiastic remark, she has paid her deposit now it's hers and there is nothing we can do. My sister went to the dressing room and started to cry, it was only when I said we would go somewhere else and lose the deposit and my other sister saying the assistant wasn't doing her job properly by encouraging her and showing her how the dress would look better on her that the assistant actually did something and asked what she didn't like about the dress the assistant offered to take the dress in and make it fit correctly. I am totally disgusted in the assistants attitude and how we were treated throughout and would advice anyone who were to consider going there NOT TO!

Incredibly rude and ignorant staff member today (Sunday 9 November) . No acknowledgement when we walked in, and not a single word passed her lips for the whole ten minutes we were in there. Stood behind her counter the whole time. We went in there with the intention of purchasing my wedding dress there and then. Walked out empty handed and purchased one from a store where the staff couldn't be more helpful. Disgraceful service for what is supposed to be a memorable day.

I'm not usually one for writing reviews, but I'd like to say thank you so much to all the lovely ladies at Berketex Bridal shop in Manchester. As soon as I entered the shop I felt comfortable and was greeted and introduced to all the staff. The then took great interest in my weddinmg and made me feel like they were just as excited as I was! I described to them what kind of dress I wanted. They also suggested what other dresses might suit my shape. I tried on 5 or 6 dresses- all absolutely stunning. In the end I had to agree that the dress they suggested for my shape was definitely the one for me!! I was measured thoroughly and I paid for my dress!! The girls in the shop popped open a bottle of bubbly for me and my mum to celebrate, which I thought was absolutely lovely!! I strongly recommend this shop to any brides to be!! The staff are absolutely fantastic and I cannot wait to go back for my measurements!!

I do not usually put comments on review pages, but was asked if I would by the girls in Berketex Brides about my recent purchase from there. I had been to a couple of other bridal shops and went to Berketex Bride thinking I would never find my dress. The assistant asked me lots of questions about my wedding and then showed me some styles she thought would suit me. I can honestly say I chose a dress that I would never have picked myself. I am now back after my honeymoon and wanted to say what a great day I had and everyone thought I looked amazing. Thank you to Suzanne and girls at Berketex for great service and your friendly atmosphere.

I walked into the shop, picked up the frock I had researched online and asked to try it on. I was informed by a very rude sales assistant that you had to have an appoinment to try on dresses. The shop was completely empty at this point, it being Wednesday at eleven am.

I was also told that I wasn't allowed to try on just one dress. I was quizzed about when my wedding was to be, as if I wasn really a potential customer.

So I turned around and walked out.

I ordered my bridesmaids dresses from Berketex bride for my expected wedding date of 9th January 2013. I rang Berketex bride on the 7th and 14th of December but they didn't have any information about my dresses. They said they had never let a bride down and they would be here the week of my wedding.

New year came and again I tried to chase up my dresses but again the staff were clueless and gave me no information. Panic now was setting in.

I rang again on the 4th January now my dresses were 2 days late and again no information.

They then said they would ring me the next week.

The 9th January came and still no information my dresses were now 7 days late and this was the date I told them that my wedding was on.

On the 11th January they decided to actually ring me and inform me that there was a fault on my dresses, that they would be worked on over the weekend and I would have them in my hand by the following Wednesday the 16th. They were now 14 days late and the staff were useless.

As I was expecting my dresses the previous weekend my sister who lives in London paid £80 for a train ticket to come up for her fitting, that money was then wasted as I had no dresses!

On the 16th January they rang me to then say my dresses had been delivered to London, I live in chorley!

With my sister living in London I said to leave her dress there and she would pick it up on Friday around work as she works 16hours days and to send the other to Manchester.

On Friday the 18th I had one dress in my hand and the other one in London with instructions that my sister will pick it up.

When my sister arrived to the store on Friday the store had shut early due to the snow.

After a lot of phone calls we managed to get a member of staff back to the store but not before she rang me and was completely rude to me when all I had done was be stupid enough to spend £400 on incompetence.

My sister got the dress but answer me this, how did my sister manage to do two trips to the store in the snow and they think it's fine to shut early when they knew she was coming.

I have my dresses and in time for my actual wedding but I would not recommend Berketex bride unless you want to be spoken to like rubbish and run up your own phone bill due to their incompetence.

In the end my dresses were 16 days late, thank goodness I did not give them the right date.

My daughter is now married and we are looking at the photographs from her wedding day, her wedding dress looks amazing and would like to thank all the girls at Berketex Arndale for their help. We spent about two hours choosing the dress, but got lots of advise and recomendations from Lana who was showing us the dresses. I would recomend anyone who is looking for their wedding dress to visit this store and listen to their advise, they know what they are doing and they care, well done Berketex great customer service.
