Angel Brides, Horsforth, Leeds

Not a pleasant experience. We felt extremely rushed. The lady who looked after my daughter (I say looked after) total understatement.

She made us feel quite unwelcome to be honest.

When originally booking our appointment we were told there would be 2 brides at a time.

There was 4 one mirror no seats.

It was like chaos not peesonal atall.

We had high hopes for this shop when we first went in to book the appointment. How wrong we were. My daughter actually left the shop and cried.

From start to finish I was made to feel very special, however this also extended to my family and bridesmaids (sometimes, there were so many of us, we took over the shop!)…you can tell that the management and staff members at Angel Brides are very knowledgeable and skilled, and one feels secure to let them guide you with advice!

Nothing was too much trouble for them. In fact when I went to collect the dresses, just before my wedding day, I felt a little sad that it was the end of my connection with Angel Brides. Down to my dress… it was a Maggie Sottero dress and I felt like an absolute Princess in it. After the several alterations on it (I kept loosing weight) it fitted me like a glove. This also has to be said for my bridesmaids’ dresses (4 of them) which I also purchased from Angel Brides!... Shell; wedding date 11.11.11..**a big thank you Angel Brides**

I have just bought my dream dress from Angel brides, 18 months before my wedding. I have visited 7 other bridal shops and tried on lots of dresses and found Angel brides to be the best. Heidi and all the staff are so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I first visited the shop 3 months ago with my Mum and cheif bridesmaid and tried on various different dresses and liked them all- however Heidi chose a dress for me to try and I fell in love with it the minute I put it on. I even dreamt about it. I then saw it on their fabulous new website in the sale and paniced it was going to get sold quickly. I emailed that evening and I recieved a speedy reply from Heidi telling me it was still there and I could try it on again at the weekend. Even though the shop was very busy (always a good sign) when I went back to try it I still loved it and knew it was the one!

I now can't wait to go back and take all my bridesmaids and flower girls to get their dresses. Thank you ladies for making my dress buying exprience so perfect.

When we left Angel Brides my Mom was quite disheartened. They didn't acknowledge the presence of my Mom and best friend (who had accompanied me) at all, they didn't offer my best friend (who was heavily pregnant) a seat, they didn't make any suggestions or get to know us at all - basically we were left to our own devices. However, I can see that the bridal store we have chosen (Pronuptia Leeds) has very mixed reviews and I wonder if this is just the nature of bridal shops? So by all means don't let this review put you off!

i purchased my granddaughters first communion dress from here, the dress is beautifull, the service was first class.

Angel Brides were fantastic and fell over themselves to help me!

I bought my dress in Jan 07 and then fell pregnant and moved my wedding to Nov 07 - I was 4 months pregnant and a size larger than I had originally planned to be (the dress was bought from their clearance sale).

I took the dress in when I was about 12 weeks pregnant and explained the situation. They said to wait and re try the dress 3 weeks before the wedding and then they would be able to see if it worked or not - they were so desperate to help me.

I took the dress back in and re tried it on and they said that their seamstress would be able to help me out - they undid all the side seams - hard when there is about 4 layers involved! And they added in a new back panel and lengthened the lace and took up the hem - all for a measly £80 I think it was - this was fantastic value for money we thought! They did the alterations in a week and I went back in and tried it on and I stood there crying it was so perfect! I picked it up a week later and they had had it cleaned and pressed and it was perfect for my day.

People were amazed that it was a normal dress (not a maternity one) and it hid the bump fantastically.

These guys really made my day and I took my dress back to them to get it cleaned and took photos of the day and a card for them to express my gratitude - which really wasn't enough! I was so pleased with their service I cannot recommend them highly enough!

They even had my appointment for alterations on the day that they were trying to get ready for a wedding dress sale in Birmingham NEC and were up to their eyes in it! But they were happy to help me and were as thrilled as I was that the dress worked I think! They did have back up dresses just in case but were determined to do everything to get my original dress to fit rather than get more money out of me (not bad when the dress was originally half price aswell!)

Angel Brides, Horsforth was friendly, informative, nothing was too much trouble. Although busy, we felt that we were the most important customers. Did not try to push us towards the most expensive styles and really gave sound advice. We were extremely impressed with the staff and valued their expertise. Nothing was too much trouble!

We would certainly recommend this shop to any bride looking for the perfect dress!

Great service, everything is well explained to you. and they listen to what you want rather than just telling you you look gorgeous!

The shop premises are nice and spacious, with loads and loads of dresses, shoes and veils to choose from!

When choosing a veil at Angel Brides, I could basically say what length, fabric and thickness etc I wanted, and I got exactly that!

I borrowed an underskirt, and they were really understanding when it ended up not going back to Yorkshire with my Mum after the wedding, so I had to post it!!! They didn't bat an eyelid!

Angel Brides have a good selection to choose from and seem to know a lot about what's out there for brides-to-be, including accessories. They really made me feel comfortable and confident about my choices as they weren't afraid to tell me what didn't work well for me, as well as what did. Despite the fact that they were really busy (always a good sign!) I was really happy with the service and the attention I got, as I feel that they actually do care about a bride's "big day". Would gladly recommend, and will also be coming here for our daughters' First Communion/Confirmation dresses.

My daughter has just had the winter wedding day she always dreamed of - thanks to Heidi and her team at Angel Brides(with a little help in the snow department!) ALL dressmaking / alterations were completed to the highest standards, a perfect fit!
