i loved amelie rose when i first went in to try on dresses. they were really helpful. i paid in full for my dress and a bridesmaid dress and left happy. i now feel however that once they had my money they were not bothered any more. i went back to buy shoes and the lady gave me the complete wrong information about dying the shoes and i ended up waiting from november when i ordered them until may when i finally collected them for my shoes to be correct. every time they promised to call they never did and never once apologised. i felt really let down. my dresses were a month late with no explanation. it is meant to be special when you try on your dress but i felt like i was hassling them and they had run out of dress bags so i had to take my dress home in a black bin bag!! i got married abroad and had them pack my dress for me. when my brodesmaid collected the dresses they kept my dress bag (which i had had to buy for myself) and since i have been back i have tried to ring them continuously and had no reply and even popped up there but they were shut with no signs up.

I was surprised and pleasantly shocked at the care and dedication i received from all the staff at Amelie Rose Bridal i was very unsure as to what type of dress would suit me and i definatley was on a very tight budget but they still treated me as if i had all the money in the world.

i was told i could take as much time as i needed and if i wanted to i could try on every dress in their shop !!!

i was in the shop for well over an hour and not once was i made to feel i was wasting anyones time they were ever so helpful and really helped me with my final choice of an amazing dress i wasnt sure it would suit me when they suggested i try on one more dress i hadnt even concidered as although it was amazingly beautiful i thought i couldnt wear anything like it but as soon as i had it on and looked into the mirrors in their wonderfully spacious changing area i was well to be honest i was speechless i couldnt even get a whole sentance out, i fell in love with this dress and when my bridesmaids saw me in it they said it was made for me which reduced me to tears of joy i hasten to add lol.

Although i am not getting married until next christmas 2010 i immediatly put my deposit on my dress and have been back to the shop twice since to look at bridesmaids dresses for the rest of my wedding party this was proving to be as hard if not harder to decide on as my bridesmaids are different heights and sizes but again they were all very very helpful and allowed my girls to try on various styles and colours with staff giving me valuable advice on things i hadnt even concidered like materials that would complement my dress and when i told then of my wedding colours instead of pulling a face which i had encountered at another shop they were all for it saying every wedding is individual to each bride and helped me find the exact matches to the colours i had wanted.

i now have only to take all of my bridesmaids to see them for measuring to be able to order the stunnng gowns for my girls and the shoes being dyed to match perfectly which we had 1 pair done as a trial run so i have a good idea of the shades which turned out amazing.

i would and have recommended Amelie Rose to my friends and one has been to the shop and is now arranging her dress for her wedding abroad nothing is too much trouble for the staff at Amelie Rose and their care and dedication to each bride is a wonderful thing to find .

I went to Amelie Rose Bridal in April 2009 to get my bridesmaids dresses. The service was bad from start to finish. I had to ask someone to come over and measure my bridesmaid and they couldn't offer any advice on alterations. I bought the dresses paying a 50% deposit by card, the dresses turned up two weeks ago - I had to call the shop to check if the dresses were in as they didn't call me as they promised and worse still they said I had to come in and pay cash for the rest, if I didn't pay cash, they told me that I wouldn't get my dreses! When I asked why they wouldn't accept cheque they got defensive saying lots of people don't take cheque - some banks don't take cheque anymore! I got put through to the manager because I was asking for the contact number as I wanted to speak to them and the manger repeated that they won't take cheque, said we were going round in circles and hung up on me!! I had no option but to go in and pay cash but I'm totally disgusted which is why I am writing this review and if there was the option of no stars I would have rated the shop nil.

The service my bridesmaid had wasn't any better. She tried buying shoes from them, she went in to order shoes she had seen on the website they said it would be two weeks for delivery to the shop but she never got a call. When she rang them they never placed the order and weren't apologetic, so two weeks were wasted - this matters as my wedding is in six weeks - September 11th and if she likes the shoes they also need to be sent back to be dyed. When she called Amelie Rose Bridal she frequently got answerphone and they never called her back, she chased up the order several times and was always told the shoes were not in with no indication of when they would be. She gave up and went to a shop in Luton and they arrived 2 days later and the staff were really helpful.
