The general shop staff I found to be helpful, attentive and good to deal with.

The stock was good and there was plenty of choice.

HOWEVER the owner is a different story.

She used high pressure sales techniques and lied to us in order to get the order. With us it failed but I wonder how many would have caved in?

We did go back as this was the only shop that stocked what we wanted and we placed an order.

When we picked up the dress we were NOT ALLOWED to try the dress on as it is "not policy".

The real reason is that we were taking the dress to be taken up and in by our dressmaker NOT hers. She was going to charge - wait for it - £200 for work that should cost no more than £60.

Lots of techniques were used on us to make us feel bad - to guilt us into using their dressmaker. Needless to say we didn't.

My advice would be only use this company if you have no other earthly choice.

Try every other shop before you visit this place!!
