Appalling Aftercare Customer Service
We hired a white rolls royce for our wedding on 30th September 2011. The vehicle broke down resulting in a late arrival which we appreciate can happen and a replacement vehicle was provided, however the fact is we did not get the one we ordered for our special day. The issue more than anything is the non existant aftercare customer service. The way it was dealt with is appalling. We were told on the day by their driver that we would recieve a call to discuss after the wedding which never happened. We had been on honeymoon for 3 weeks and after returning and getting back into a routine and having not heard anything, we called hire society to follow this up as to what could be done to rectify the break down happening. This was the repsonse we got... I am "bemused" as to why it has taken you 4 weeks to call us regarding this matter. Followed by a very strained apology and then they offered us to reinact the day!!! How could we accept such a ridiculous offer when this would mean getting all main wedding guests back together that of some do not live locally, hire suits again, makeup artist and the list goes on. Also to add the day we married was the last beautiful day of the year so could they guarentee the weather... I don't think so. When we asked why we had not been contacted as promised the reply was that they were told because we seemed happy on the day they didn't think they needed to and that we should be more sympathetic to them for the breakdown happening. The fact is that the brides mother was furious and had to be calmed down by the bride who didn't want the mood setting for the day and this being the main focus and ruining whats supposed to be the best day of your life, so decided to follow up later on. We realise now that in a nutshell if we had of been upset and shown frustation on the day this may have been in our favour and we may have even got what we should've done a sincere apology and not this awful attitude instead. Do not touch with a barge pole, happy to take your money then thats it
