In my recent experience Melinda Mercer lacks professionalism.

After waiting six weeks for an engagement shoot, I was concerned about how my recent hair cut looked. I called her five days before the shoot hoping for reassurance. At the end of the conversation, we agreed I could wait and style my hair some and call her back when I’d decided. When I called her four days later to confirm the appointment she’d already filled it. She agreed that our conversation had been “inconclusive” and that I had not actually cancelled my appointment. However, she did not at any point apologize for her actions, nor did she take steps to rectify the situation, suggesting the client to whom she’d given my appointment was more important. My appointment that I’d waited six weeks for was filled in less than four days without so much as a phone call for notification.

After witnessing Mercer’s inability to take personal responsibility for her actions and blatant disregard for the people she serves, I would not recommend hiring her under any circumstances.

Melinda did a great job with both our wedding pictures and the bridal session pictures. I could not be happier with the way the photos turned out. She is also a great person to work with. She remembered the names of the wedding party and used their names after asking once what they were. She really loves and cares about what she does and it shows in her work. Both of our families commented on how personable she was and everyone enjoyed being around her.

As a woman and a bride at one time Melinda Mercer knows what to suggest to get the client what she will cherish for a life time. She is easy to work with and schedule your engagement photos and wedding photos so that the wedding guest are kept waiting as little time as possible. She has a very competent assistant and state of the art equipment to shoot the photos and preserve them for the final prints. Albums and disks. You will be glad you retained Melinda Mercer to preserve the images of your special day.

The talent of Melinda Mercer as an artist and photographer is evident in the work. Delivers the prints and albums in an extremely timely manner. Has a talent for making people feel comfortable, beautiful, and relaxed; which is a wonderful personality trait for a wedding photographer!
