She's A Wasted Opportunity
I booked this photographer to take newborn photos of my son. I was so excited, especially because this is our first child. After he was born, I emailed Kayci so we could do the photos. And I emailed again. And I face booked her. And I facebooked her again. I finally had to accept that she was a sham and wasn't going to get back to me - regardless Of contract and deposit. I had complications with my emerg c-section recovery, and yet I had to spend time searching for a new photographer. Meanwhile, my son had already begun to change/ lose that newborn squishy, wrinkly look. I am so upset that my decision to go with this "photographer" (loser!) who stole from me the chance to have professional photos best capture how my son looked in his first few days of life after birth.
If your pictures are important to you - don't take the chance with this woman - I only wish I had googled get before I ended my search for a photographer.
Never Got Our Pictures
We had a session months & months ago and never rec'd our pictures. No response , no reply to any of our e-mails. Extremely disappointed as our son has an illness and it was a good day for him and we will never see the pictures of him and our family having a great day together. It really saddens me to know that I will not have pictures from this great day and those days are few and far between. It is also frustrating not to get any response from her.

Worst Ever!
This photographer doesn't know what she is doing. Lens flare in most photos which can be avoided easily if your a true photographer you know to not shoot into the sun. This will reck your photos and there is no way to fix this. Please research before using any photographer.

We Choose Kayci Gough For Our Wedding Photographer
We choose Kayci Gough for our wedding photographer because we saw some of her work and knew she had talent! She had never done a wedding shoot yet, but we took the chance and our pictures turned out WONDERFUL! We had no regrets!!!! She was on top of her game, and was very professional. We ended up having her do our engagment photos a few weeks before the wedding, they also turned out GREAT! We liked her photos so much, we had her do family photos now for our second time. We now brag about her as our photographer:) If your looking for a great photographer, Kayci Gough is the person your looking for! I highly recommend her!!!!

I Was Made Aware Of This Review From A Friend Of M
I was made aware of this review from a friend of mine and just thought I'd share some of my thoughts. I'm sorry you had to go through this experience, but as a wedding photographer, this is a classic case of "You get what you pay for". What did you expect when looking at her prices, her packages are $850, $950, $1100 for full day coverage, and files, etc. Decent wedding photographers average in the range of $3000 and upwards, and there is a reason for that.
First of all gear plays a big role. It looks like these images were shot with a Canon rebel with a kit lens (consumer grade gear not true professional grade gear). Just a note, filters would usually add to lens flare, a hood helps, but it boils down to a person's skill to know not to actually shoot directly in the sun in order to avoid lens flare (simply changing the angle you shoot at will minimize it). An experienced photographer would have simply repositioned the couple and family preferably in a shaded area.
Secondly experience. It looks like Kayci is quite an amateur when it comes to the basics of photography. Looking at her site, most images are underexposed, and blurry indicating poor knowledge of basic minimum shutter speeds to ensure a sharp image is captured, on top of ensuring the correct exposure settings are used.
Once again sorry you had to go through this experience and I do hope you are able to salvage some shots taken by friends and family. Hopefully this will be a good warning for future brides that are looking to go with a budget photographer and expecting the quality and service of a true professional to really think twice whether it is worth it in the long run to save on the photographer. Like many say, your photos are truly the only memories you will have from your very special day!

I Would Highly Recommend Kayci To Photograph Any O
I would highly recommend Kayci to photograph any occasion. She was perfect for us, great shots, great personality, professional. We had to plan our wedding from out of town, ans it was no problem at all. Everything turned out absolutely perfect.
Honestly I cant write a negative thing here about her. The best pictures ever, couldnt be happier with the service.
Derek and Amanda Primeau
again I am happy for you that she did the job she is suppose to do. This is what all brides and grooms should go through. This was not the case for me. I really wish it was, as I can see she has asked people she knows to post reviews since they are put up around the same time. Professional you say? I wish I could say the same about her I really do. Making reviews and comments is not what I call fun pass time I would rather have good wedding photos that I can look through to pass the time. I wish there was something that could be done, but a wedding is one day and one day only, now that the day is gone we cant get it back or re-shoot it.
I found this review very helpful because... it's the truth, she's awesome!

We Hired Kayci Gough Photography Because Of A Frie
We hired Kayci Gough Photography because of a friend recommend her. Even though she wasn't very expensive I felt it wasn't even worth the little we paid. We wanted to help out someone who needed a head start in a business I come from a family of business owner I know how hard it can be. She did a horrible job all of our photos have lens flares in the, most photos are not even centred properly, people where not even properly lined up. Her edits I was very displeased with she softened my face so much that my nose was gone and any lines on my face so my face ended up looking like a round pumpkin. I have hired a real photographer to properly edit them. She refused to take certain pics though out the wedding day for example I wanted the groomsmen to hold me up and take a pic she said no that not a normal wedding photos. Another example was when we where in the hall she asked what other Photos we would like I said one of the guy and girl who caught the garter and bouquet together please. She said she already had them which she had separate pics of them I just wanted a pic of them together. Also we never ended up getting one pic of us in focus coming into the hall, Kayci told me it was because we where 10 mins late coming in she was unprepared and unable to get the shot. You would think that would give her more time to set up the shot right. I do not have one pic from Kayci of me and my husband coming in, or any of my brides maid. I dont know many people who have a wedding that is perfectly on time. I tried my best to time manage on this day I guess 10 mins late means your pics will not be in focus pics.
Kayci Gough's Husband showed up as the "assistant" in jeans, zippy hoodie, and t-shirt to a formal wedding. The photographer was wear flip flops when she came inside. Expected to sit with our guess dressed up like they just came out of bed(which sitting with guess was part of the contract). We tired to move them to a empty spot, but they moved to the back, so i thought they were happy. We didn't find he was very helpful, or had really any part in setting up shots he kinda stood around. Assistance usually help carry extra equipment, and help with lining up the shots.
When I tired to complain about what I was unhappy with, she told me it was my fault the pics didnt work out because my wedding was 10 late(bad time management) and because of the location (snow). Not because she doesnt own a lens filter or lens hood or could have moved to different spots or angles to get better shots, to cut out glare from sun. Kayci told me In an e-mail that I should have hired my cousin instead of her if I was unhappy with the work. All that would have been expected would be an apology from her and treat me like a paying costumer. Not only did she do a horrible job she treated us with very little respect. Her lack of professionalism shocked me and my family and friends. Your wedding is a one day event you can not get this day back please hire a professional photographer it is worth the money! My family and friends took better pics then this poor excuse for a photographer. I would not Recommend her!
