I had a terrible experience with Erin Monahan( see Island Light Photography, formerly Erin Monahan Photography.)

I had much of the same issues as the other reviews. It was a complete nightmare. She set three of her own deadlines of when to have my wedding photos on her website and failed to meet all three. And when they were finally posted they weren't all there twice, partially due to technically difficulties, I'll give her that. But I was so disappointed. I had to go back and edit the few I actually wanted to keep. They were far from professional. We had an amateur friend take pictures and thank god we did. He does it for a hobby and came far more professional than hers. Erin had her finger in multiple shots, she did not bring a zoom lens so her focal point had 5 things or people in front of her aimed shot. People's heads were cut off and she used a diagonal angle shot on about half of the shots. I do not care for technique and was again highly disappointed. These are just issues with my photos. She was next to impossible to contact. She does not call you back and you're lucky to get one email response to every 10 you send (not an exaggeration.) She kept in contact perfectly until the day after my wedding ( and after she was paid in full.)

This was the most stressful experience I've ever had to endure.

I contacted her business partner, Patty, who helped me get in contact with her about my usb of pictures but after that it was hopeless.

After telling Erin, and Patty, about how unhappy I was with them, Erin offered me a $100 refund, in which I never received, now a month later. I tried contacting them both about and neither returned any phone calls or emails.

Don't waste your money or time. I have no idea how these women are still in business.

Erin is AWFUL! Honestly, I would love to use tons of curse words to fully convey what it is like to deal with her. She seriously cashes your check ASAP and the won't answer your messages or emails nor will she take responsibility or apologize for her actions and behavior. I take most of our family and friend pictures and now I know why. Please don't bother with her there are tons or better, nicer and cheaper photographers.

We hired Erin Monahan from a bridal convention. HUGE mistake. Don't risk your precious memories with her. Those picture books she has are borrowed or downloaded. Our wedding photos are so bad (out of focused, unbalanced, no poising guides, no timing, random), I cried for months. My aunt, a hobbyist, took much better pictures. She rescued some precious moments that Erin and her sister did not capture.

Don't trust her, she will take your money and run. She makes alot of excuses. Go to a referred friend or family that has good photos.

Terrible!!!!!!! She had no idea where to pose us. She left our wedding early because she was sick. We never heard back from her. Then after that she never got our proofs to us. She said her husband lost his job so she was having trouble paying for our pictures. A long story short she still hasn't sent our pictures and it will be three years in October. ahhhhh! she's terrible. Do not use her whatever you do

Very easy to deal with, recieved everything on time and we were more than happy with the quality of the photographs. Really captured all the great moments.

Would definately recommend Erin Monahan to my friends who are getting married.

Hard to get a hold of, doesn't communicate, forgets everything you tell her, takes the money and runs!
