Memories Captured Forever

Every decision you make about your wedding is important; but maybe the photography ends up to be the most important,- years after you will still be looking at your photos, hopefully they will capture the day and bring all the memories flooding back.

I know mine will.....

From our first meeting, John was enthusiastic, understanding, and FUN!!

He has obviously been doing the job for a long time and had an amazing selection of work to help give us ideas, we felt relaxed and confident from then on.

Before the wedding we had a run through again of things we wanted, which was great as a reminder to us as well!

On the day, John arrived to take the "getting ready" shots, all done with humour and patience,- there were lots of jangling nerves!!!

Our wedding was fantastic, all that we had hoped for, and throughout John was snapping away, but for a lot of it, I dont think anyone was even aware he was there, which was great.

The more official shots, where John had to gather the specific people were a highlight! To see and hear everyone laughing and enjoying it was lovely. John has a great sense of and this is very obvious when he is there.

Finally, our "Storybook" is beautiful, i cant count the number of times I have looked at it over the past few months. When in years to come we look at it again, we both feel we have had our wedding day perfectly captured, and all the fantastic memories are right there in front of us!

Thank you John.

with best wishes

Matt and Helen

Why?!?!

I've never written a complaint before so bear with me if it seems a bit disjointed.

We visited the wedding barn in our search for an affordable photographer and unfortunately we were daft enough to make a booking. The owner and his partner could promise the earth but essentially they can't deliver much.

Our aim was to gather a collection of family and friends to help celebrate our wedding, you only get one shot to make it happen and you trust a photographer to help capture it, this guy was aweful! His friend was helping on the day and ended up taking over so he could go off home!! We wanted relaxed photo's and couldn't stress enough to Christopher John, all he kept saying was how much he loved the venue, how he knew all the best places, he didn't want to listen to a word, he couldn't remember either of our names and couldn't stop trying to sell us services we had already booked with other companies.

The booking was honoured and he turned up to take some photo's but guests could have done better, he was not focused, and didn't seem to want to listen. The end result; 1 photo of my parents, not one photo of my wife and her family, no photo's of any of our guests during dinner and speeches, no photos of friends congregating to chat, no photos of people relaxing. To top it off, he said he would be there until 10pm, we got one picture of one couple from the evening guests and he wasn't there for our first dance!! His response to all these comments; but there are some lovely pictures there, I worked really hard!

He told me a price to photograph the day and they would knock the cost off the pics brought, he wouldn't honour that! He told us if we spent enough he'd give us the DVD's, he wouldnt honour that! I told him I was not happy and he gave me some sob story about his partner moving out. I had no choice but to pay for what he had taken but it is so embarrassing when you show people the photos and there is none of some really key family members, none of our closest friends and no group or couple shots for others to buy.

All in all, a rubbish service from an amateur. I have a very strange feeling that they were covering the wedding next door in the same venue and that is why they missed so much. They have tainted our perfect day in an irreparable way. What a #*%#$!!

I dont believe the photo's in the reception area of his shop were taken by him, he doesn't seem capable judging by our atrocity of an album!
