Brilliant Piece Of Kit

Excellent 2-way communication system like a normal baby monitor but with more. For starters you don't have to have the sound on all the time and instead you can have some sound level indicator LEDS which light up as the volume increases. This saves battery. The second top feature is obviously the sensor mat which detects movement and breathing and will alert you if it stops for too long. There is an optional clicking sound on the receiver for each movement, but an LED will flash on the receiver for each movement. The transmitter which sits in the cot also doubles as an orange night light with 3 settings and this can be controlled remotely from the receiver, which will also tell you what setting the night light is on via the LCD screen. The LED screen on both units shows the temperature of the cot and various settings and will light up if something happens or you use the receiver's buttons. I think the sensitivity of the pad can be changed but I'm not 100% sure about that. You can walk around with the 'parent unit' or receiver or have it docked in it's charging station. You can also talk back to the baby unit using a button on the side of the parent unit.

The only downer on this unit is you have to keep remembering to switch off the sensor pad at the baby unit when you take the baby out, or the alarm will sound. While this doesn't sounds too bad, you have to remember it in the middle of the night every 2 hours when feeding. Only paid £50 and it's a bargain for that price.

We Are Expecting A Grandchild In November, And As

We are expecting a grandchild in November, and as our son and his wife live in Yorkshire we wanted them to be able to put Baby to bed whilst they were here and still be able to sit downstairs with us without the constant listening for sounds from Baby. I asked a mother passing me in the shop where I was reading about this monitor, if she knew anything about baby monitors. She said it was a good one so we bought it.

We have just tried it out and are really pleased. At first there was considerable crackling from the Parent Receiver, until we realised that the Baby Monitor upstairs was on Channel 1 and we had the Parent Receiver on Channel 2. Once we put the channels the same, we could hear as plain as day and can now be sure that our son and daughter-in-law, who are first time parents, will be able to visit without worrying about Baby, because the Parent Unit being portable, they can take it upstairs when they go to bed as well.

Regards

Edna

I Have No Doubt That This Monitor Saved My Daughte

I have no doubt that this monitor SAVED MY DAUGHTERS LIFE! She was born prem at 35 weeks but was sent home after 24 hours with no problems. At only 4 days old she was sleeping on the monitor sensor pad when it alerted me that she was not breathing, on checking on her she was blue and lifeless. Luckly i got to her intime and managed to get her breathing again and to hospital. It was discovered she had suffered a brain hemorrhage this was making her suffer from apnea (where bab y stops breathing) without the monitor to alert me that she had stopped breathing i wouldnt have known until it was to late. This product saved her life and i think every parent should buy one

I Bought This Monitor A Week Ago, Ive Swapped It O

I bought this monitor a week ago, Ive swapped it once because i thought it must be broken, there was a lot of crackling coming from the parent unit. The second one is exactly the same. Its impossible to hear my baby at all because of all the interferance. The baby unit is fine as is the sensor mat. It has put my mind at rest whilst i am sleeping. But my past monitor is an analogue (the same as this one) and i had no inteferance at all. I am taking it back to get a refund and will probably get the angelcare as it has great reviews.

A Baby Monitor Is Another Important Thing To Buy W

A baby monitor is another important thing to buy when you have a baby and again at over 50 quid isn't cheap, but when you buy the Tommee Tippee Monitor 6 with Sensor Mat you get a good product. It comes with the mat and the sound so there's double safety without going over the top (like video monitors).
