mapandcompassoutdoors.com are not a company to do business with. They overcharged me by a factor of 10 (£26 but £260 charged) No goods received no e-mails answered!! BEWARE

my partner ordered and berghaus akka down vest back on 30th august,lied about the dispatch date,said it was sent by courier then the very same day in a later email said it was sent royal mail standard parcels,tried passing the buck to berghaus themselves-even gave a name of a guy who worked at berghaus in sunderland who totally disputed this claim,contacted trading standards-enough is enough..action has got to be taken and i think watchdog should be involved in this matter...looks like we have all had the same problem!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY- if you want to buy a product- go direct to the supplier-my partner ended up going direct to berghaus and purchaing th vest from them,we got the item delivered 2 days later with no problem...still want my partners money back from map and compass outdoors though...obtaining money by deceit is a criminal offence..and this should be dealt with

This shop has illegally debited my bank account with £300 and will not answer emails or phone calls to resolve the issue.

The money was taken 4 weeks ago, after I had ordered and payed for a jacket which was consequently cancelled due to no stock. I am at my whits end, they must have stored my bank account details as the transaction was entered at a later date. I am not sure whether they exist or are a scam outfit.

i have bought from mapandcompass a duffel bag. the item price was 49,37euros and they have taken from my account ten times more!!! 493,7euros!!! it could be just a mistake so I have tryed to contact them to clarifiy with no answer at all!!.

They do not seem to be a functioning company. It appears they advertise many products at very good prices and always in stock. However when ordering I was surprised to note they had taken over ten times the amount from my account! There is no direct phone line and I have still had no written response to the issue. I contacted my bank who have begun action. After this had started I did receive an email only stating the product was out of stock and I would receive a refund, which I did in the next day. According to the website the product is still in stock.

I do not know what the scheme is here but avoid the company. I have still received no apology or explanation. I hope the site disappears to avoid further issues. i will certainly press the issue.

I have had bogus or no communication after an order was cancelled by them and the promised refund has failed to materialise.

I am in the process of claiming money back through my credit card company.
