Lanson Running, Kingston

I have bought running gear both online and in store from Lanson Running. The online service is very efficient and hassle free. I have also found the in-store advice really helpful in selecting the right running shoes.

I recently bought a pair of Asics DS Trainers from Lanson Running and have been delighted with the purchase. I had been considering a change of brand for a while and so sought advice from Lanson over the suitable options available. After considering my specifc requirments I was provided with guidance and I have to say that I have been delighted with my final choice. Whilst a change of shoe/brand can feel like a risky step, I feel that the professional advice provided helped to minimise the 'risk'. Many thanks.

I cannot rate Lanson running highly enough - they have been absolutely brilliant and have helped me find running shoes that really suit my running style and needs and didn't break the bank in the process. They have given me lots of really helpful advice and have been so patient on many occassions. When my old 'perfect running shoes' were discontinued I was really disappointed as I'd previously been plagued with injuries that I felt my trainers helped me address. Lanson were really helpful though, and said that they would help me find a running shoe that not only matched the performance of the discontinued shoe, but was superior. I was not left disappointed and have now got a new even better 'perfect running shoe' which suits the way I run, the terrain I run on, and the distances I run!! :) They have also supported me with marathon and half marathon prep with lots of useful tips that have, in short, made me a better runner. Their online service is great - it's really user friendly - and delivery is always super quick, which I really appreciate. Their range of products is brilliant and you can tell that the owners are as passionate about running as their customers - which is just fantastic. So thank you Lanson running and keep up the excellent work.

I've used Lanson Running's website for 4 years and have never been disappointed.

Very easy to use website and really quick and efficient delivery - so much so that I ordered some new trainers when I lived in India and they arrived with no fuss in under a week!

Easy to choose by trainer style / sizes in stock which saves disappointment, and the guys always pick up the phone if you need some last minute advice.

Finally, love the fact they support smaller trainer brands - a real 'soul runners' website!!!

I recently purchased a pair of Gore Running Tights from this company, the tights are faulty and each time I run they snag hopelessly to the left. I am a keen, experienced runner and have many pairs of Gore tights and I know what is faulty and what is not. I tried to return the item and was told they were not faulty and item was returned to me. I queried this and was met by the rudeness most unhelpful gentlemen I have ever had contact with in all my years of shopping for running gear. He told me he didnt want my custom as I was returning faulty goods and therefore I am writing this review to merely warn people of the reception you'll receive should you have the misfortune of buying something that is faulty. I have written to Gore to advise them of my dealings with this site.

Looked this place up online when I was looking for a new pair of trainers. I decided that I wanted to go a speak to someone who actually knew what they were talking about rather than chose just on look in a JJB or other high street shop.

We went in latish on a Saturday and was welcomed by Matt who spoke to me for a while about the types of things I was going to be doing in my trainers, advised me about injuries I was carrying etc. He asked if I wanted to do an assessment which would be free if I bought some shoes, or £15 if I didn't.

We proceeded and he ran through a number of tests with me and asked loads more questions. He then got out a couple of pairs of shoes for me to try on. I was able to test these on a running machine and in total he probably spent about 45 mins with me making sure I was happy.

I found the pair that he had recommended were perfect for me so bought them there and then.

They were £90 which is the most expensive shoes I have ever bought, but I felt pretty reassured that I was doing the right thing as I had already tested them out a bit. I figured £90 for some great trainers that I had tried, and been advised well on was better value for money then paying £60 or £70 for a pair off the self that I knew nothing about.

Really happy with the service provided and would go back, but hopefully not for a few years!
