Merry Hill Shopping Centre, West Midlands www.westfield.com/merryhill

I have been shopping at Merry Hill ever since it opened & for most of that time have lived within walking distance.I love the fact that its all under cover & that there are plenty of seating areas.It also provides plenty of bus services to various destinations for a non driver like me.And it was useful to have timetables available in the post office right by the bus station.So WHY OH WHY have the powers that be suddenly decided to(a) move the post office way over the other end of the shopping centre & (b)to stop providing any timetables at all?(particularly as they are frequently amending or changing times or bus routes).Its often the elderly who use these services eg to get their pensions,now they've got a distance to walk when they get off the bus.As for the disappearence of the timetables there seems no rhyme or reason for it.Can you provide one?

One of the ladies refused to give my five year old the car as she was 1/2 inch over the measurement I explained that she was quite weak after being ill for a week I sed I wud pay extra and showed her that my daughter fitted perfectly into it she still refused in the I gave up and had to carry my upset daughter most if the way with carrier bags...

It was the ladies attitude that really annoyed me

I LIVE CLOSE TO THE MERRY HILL CENTRE AND AS I AM DISABLED

AND HAVE ALWAYS USED THE ANOVE ENTRANCE.

HOWEVER SINCE THE RINK HAS BEEN OPENED THE RUBBER MATTING OUTSIDE

THE ENTRANCE HAS IN MY OPINION BECOME HAZARDOUS TO PEOPLE WALKING

WITH STICK.

THIS WAS PROVED TO ME ON 28/12/12 WHEN I MY STICK CAUGHT IN A HOLE

IN THE RUBBER MATTING AND FELL.

I WILL LONGER USE THE MERRY HILL CENTRE

I am very very discusted with next, I had seen the manager refuse a lady with a disabled child in a wheel chair to use a comftable enterance for her child to enter the store, the costumer simply sed my daughters legs don't work like how's so cud u help us out, the manager replied well that's not my falt is it!! It was uterly discustin.

I work at Merry Hill so obviously I spend a lot of time there. It has all the usual chain-stores, and although it can be hard to find your way around, it's generally well laid-out. However it annoys me that to make this 'good' shopping centre 'great' would be pretty simple.

They need to get rid of the stupid carpark company for a start - how anybody thinks its a good idea to put 'time limits' and restrictions on certain carparks in beyond me. Westfield want people to leave quickly rather than spend more cash? They need to stop taking all the seating out of the mall. People like to take a break once in a while Westfield! If they stopped charging such ridiculous rental rates they could get some companies back into the ever-growing number of empty shops, and they really need to stop all these people who keep approaching us with clipboards saying they 'only want a moment of our time' then ask for our bank details.

NEW BULLYING TACTICS BY UKPC AND WESTFIELD SECURITY ARE GOING TO MAKE A FORTUNE FOR THE OWNERS WESTFIELDS, IN THEIR NEW £70 PARKING FINES. YES TODAY I GOT MY FIRST PARKING IN A ILLEGAL PLACE AS THEY PUT IT. AFTER SPEAKING TO A MR. DEAN JENKINS HEAD OF SECURITY . IT APPEARS THEY HAVE PUT UP NOTICES WHERE NO ONE WOULD DREAM OF LOOKING 8FT IN THE VIEW OF TREES. WESTFIELDS ARE MAKING A HUGE MISTAKE IN THIS NEW PARKING RULE. THEY WILL SURELEY LOSE SO MUCH CUSTOM,I FOR ONE. BE WARNED!!!!!!!! IT COULD BE YOUR TURN NEXT.

I think that Merry Hill Shopping Centre could be a bit more tidy and could do with some of the cracked tiles removed and replaced. But overall it is a very good standard of service. It is very large and you can find all your shopping needs there. It is sometimes tidy but I do not like the amount of people there at any one time. I like it because it has a very large area and you can finds lots of things there. I would have liked to have known before my purchase on how it would have fitted my personality. It was a great time butcould have done with less people there at any one time as I said earlier in my review! One thing that I am not happy about is the toilets I am not happy with amount of Privacy you get.

Merry Hill Shopping Centre is the best, better than town because it isn't that crowded

More of a varity of shops

A new private company have taken over car parks at Merry Hill Shopping Centre, parking tickets now being issued for the first time ever. If you don't park in a bay or outside the white lines you may get a ticket. New signs have gone up but I don't think they are very noticeable.

I find that the shops are relatively small and rarely have all the stock that is on the shop's website or in other bigger stores in the area (in the Birmingham Bullring for example).

I think there should be more places to give directions, the electric things that do this are often out of order and people are messing around on them and these people should be moved on by security.

The car park counting system doesn't seem to work properly and doesn't count the amount of cars on each level accurately.

It is quite a good shopping centre but if you want a much better shopping experience go to a bigger shopping centre with bigger shops.
