A Trip To Get Christmas Presents Proved Worthwhile

A trip to get Christmas presents proved worthwhile. Having tried my local Tesco and having been unable to get the latest Sopranos box set or REM's latest CD, a trip to Oxford Street was needed.

I found Tenachious D's CD at the same price as it was in Tesco. Looking around the Virgin Megastore a bit got me the last copy they had of REM's In Time Best Of. I was lucky.

Then a trip up the escalator to get the DVD box set of Sopranos 6. What a caffuffle walking around and around. I found series 5 OK, but no 6. I had to ask a member of staff, who kindly walked me around the shop until we found it. At £50 it did not seem like much of a bargain however.

Virgin Megastore Is A Good Store For Cds, Dvds And

Virgin Megastore is a good store for CDs, DVDs and magazines. It even has 12" and vinyl albums. (Ask your dad, he will explain what they were). Its CDs and DVDs are all set out alphabetically, thats A to Z, from Abba to Zappa. Its a big name in music and vision, so has a reputation to keep. Its biggest rival must be HMV, which, personally, I prefer. Virgin Megastore has a slight "interlectual" feel about it. You feel like you have to have a masters degree in music just to enter the store, whereas HMV, anyone can walk in, and browse, you feel a little like you are being marked on Looks, Musical Knowledge, etc., when you enter Virgin records.
