We Found Daniel Christopher Jewellery By Chance On
We found Daniel Christopher Jewellery by chance on a Saturday afternoon ring hunting in Hatton Garden. Much like choosing the busy restaurant when on holiday we booked an appointment for later in the day and spent the next few hours browsing numerous ring shops.
The layout of the shop is quite different to most of the jewellers. There was initially no jewellery on display and we sat at a desk with the salesperson, rather than stood at a counter (which I personally found far more appropriate while considering making such a significant purchase); and the salesperson asked us about what we were shopping for, whether we had any set requirements and what mattered most to us about the ring. We showed them images of our preferred designs to the salesperson and gave the budget we had set. A self-confessed magpie chose sparkle as the most important aspect of the diamond and we spent the next 20 minutes or so being shown examples of different diamond qualities, and what produces different effects in the diamonds. We decided we wanted to maximise the colour and cut, and booked an appointment for the following week to come back and see the selection brought in for us. We also looked at a computer model of her design which, while we could not try it on, gave us confidence that the goldsmith had listened carefully to our brief. We chose (typically) the most expensive option, which was still within budget however, requested a couple of slight amendments to the proposed ring design, and paid the 25% deposit to get the ring made. We were told the ring would take up to 4 weeks to produce and to Jen’s delight we received an email just under 3 weeks later to say the ring was ready to collect.
While we had spent close to a month and a half shopping for, and waiting for the ring to be complete, the look on her face when she opened the box was worth the wait, and expense! Months on and I still see Jen daydreaming while looking at her diamond and it brings a smile to her face every time.
Thank you to the team at Daniel Christopher for your professionalism throughout. Highly recommended.

Great At First, Multitude Of Problems
Initially they seemed like the best jewellers we came across in Hatton Gardens. The diamond we found was a great price and the setting could be changed to have the channel set we wanted. Ring was made, prongs and diamonds set wonky. Had to convince them of this, fine 2/3 weeks pass before they manage to fix, no update, we had to chase, still a bit wonky but Ok.
End up going back for wedding ring estimates, all seems good again, had an offer to clear and buff the engagement ring for free, said yes and then it returns with two of the setting diamonds having been blasted out. Allow them to reset these and as the ring needed resizing down we thought why not get it done at the same time. Ring comes back, was so excited about it we didnt check it over properly until that night where upon inspection it clearly was not right. The Ring was no longer round and the setting diamonds again were off, fired off an email to tell them that and had to go in to drop off the ring where a proper time slot wasnt given to us, we were rushed through explaining what was wrong and told there was nothing for it but for a new ring to be made but would take 5working days.
Ok, one week passes, no update, 2 weeks pass, with a chaser, before an update is provided. Go in excited to finally have my ring back properly, as my fiancé said my face upon seeing the ring was a totally horrified look. The new replacement ring looked nothing like the original, I had to try to explain why, whilst extremely upset and with what felt like next to no sympathy. It turned out that they had made the ring originally so poorly that there were so many structural integrity issues with the ring. The new ring also had been made the wrong size, and it transpired that they had stated the wrong size to us for the resizing. Essentially they could not make it look the same as before, with the Goldsmith we seem to find something that could work and would ensure the setting diamonds would be secure but we were knocked back as it would cost them more to fix. You would imagine that considering the catalogue of errors and an extremely upset customer who had paid a not insubstantial amount of money, that there would be more sympathy and also a willingness to do whatever necessary to resolve the issue that they had caused.
Crushed, we allowed them to make their changes, which again took twice as long as they had promised. Again, no attempt at providing an update. Finally, after having been without the engagement ring for about 3months of the 11 months we have been engaged we went back in, hopefully for the final time, the ring is better but still not the same. The prongs were still wonky when we got it, they were luckily changed within 15mins. I don't have the energy, emotionally, to go through any of this again. My ring is not the ring we had both fallen in love with when we got engaged, it is a totally different ring, literally, I am 7 weeks from my wedding and this has been so incredible stressful and emotionally draining. I just do not trust them with this ring or any other.

Engagements; Made Easy!
Getting engaged is quite a daunting experience for men! And knowing where to start on the engagement ring front is actually the hardest thing... When a friend recommended DC Jewellery (Cool Diamonds), I was thrilled to see how clear and transparent the website was. I was able to choose a budget and a few design options with ease and, once I'd set up a meeting, was able to choose the best one. They were super flexible throughout and a pleasure to deal with, even delivering my chosen ring in double quick time, as well as offering a 30 day money-back guarantee should my partner not like it (...or said no!). We have since been back to choose wedding bands (she said yes!), and the experience was equally as smooth, especially as my fiancée's band is made to fit her engagement ring. We can't thank them enough and I'd recommend them to any man thinking about proposing. It really did make our engagement easy! Thank you!

Simply The Best In Hatton Garden
Very rarely do you receive the level of service and expertise I received from DC Jewellery when I purchased my engagement ring from them in June. They were the fourth shop that I visited in Hatton Garden having either not found what I wanted, having been quoted way above my budget, or having been told I would take 6 weeks to create my ring!! Initially I wasn't sure whether they sold engagement rings as there was no window display (I was told they were waiting for their shop to be fitted) but their relatively small showroom was full of customers so much like when choosing a Resteraunt on holiday I hoped it was worth the wait, and I wasn't wrong. I was told to take a seat and would be seen as soon as one of the consultants was free which took 5-10 minutes. I explained I was looking for a 1.30-1.50ct and showed them a few of the designs my fiancée had subtly showed to me. He explained they didn't have the exact design but would be able to make a bespoke ring for me (which immediately I thought would be way too expensive); he went out to the back of the shop and brought out 3 diamonds to show me as well as a bespoke ring they had made in a similar design for another customer. He talked me through the colour and clarity of each stone and showed me them against the GIA chart. Then came the discussion on prices....all 3 stones with a hand made ring came to more than £500 less than the closest other quote I had and they would have it ready for me in 10 days!! As I only ever plan on buying one ring I pushed the boat out and chose the 1.40ct D VS2 and then the salesman asked the goldsmith who would be making ring to come out and go over the details of the design with me. I paid a 25% deposit and received an email 8 days later to let me know it was already ready and to book a time to go in to collect it. The result was fantastic, better than I had hoped and I'm pleased to say not only did she say yes, but absolutely adores the ring and can't stop looking at it. While it was not something I had set out to do she particularly likes the fact that I had her ring commissioned especially for her and that it is her ring and one of a kind. We had to take it in to have it resized to her correct size and even though I had forgotten to arrange it when purchasing it was free of charge and ready within 2 days. Thanks to DC Jewellery the whole process was painless and far easier than I had ever expected it to be. I do not make a habit of reviewing purchases but really felt the team at DC deserve the praise. THANKYOU!! James
Stunning Designs
I found it very difficult to choose a design as they were all so beautiful! All the diamonds were GIA certified and IGI certified which geve me complete confidence in them. Daniel Christopher Jewelldry were fantastic from start to finish. I am one very lucky girl!
Thank you Daniel Christopher Jewellery for making what I thought would be a very hard purchase incredibly easy!
Best of luck for next year.
