Wandering into the world of diamonds is like a mystery tour for me, so it was with some trepidation that I embarked on my diamond mission. On the advice of reliable friends, I went to Cool Diamonds and they were quite right that I needn't have worried. The staff were friendly, helpful and most importantly put me at my ease. They explained all the technical elements to me (including the impact on price) patiently and in detail, while not making me feel condescended. Similarly, I found them very helpful when it was time for me to make those tricky decisions. Not pushy, just friendly and helpful. If you regularly buy diamonds, none of this stuff about service might matter to you (although I am told that the Cool Diamonds website is good for initiates too). But for a diamond inviolate like myself, the service was the main thing. The service (unlike my choice of diamond) was flawless. Highly recommended.

My fiance bought my engagement ring from Cool Diamonds and not only am I very happy with the ring but so is my fiance. It's not easy to find a jeweler that also customise semi-precious stones, and after some searching online, he managed to find Cool Diamonds that did. According to him, the sales person was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

I was also shown the website and it is very impressive and professional. You can choose the design, type of diamond and semi-precious stone (if any) all online. After choosing, they will contact you to make an appointment to view your selection in store. Another that impressed me about the website is that they have a 3-D hand to show you what the ring will look like on the finger.

As for value for money, my fiance says it is indeed!

These people are really really excellent. We both found the whole experience very easy and the people very helpful. We would recommend Cool Diamonds as an alternative to using retail shops. They also have an excellent policy on refunds and if you need to get your rings altered.

Plus of course very good value for your money.

We not only ended up with a far superior Diamond but paid less money.

They explained the differences in cut, clarity size etc etc and do not push their products but rather ensure that you as the customer are happy with your final choice.

I am one of those guys who like quality, reasonable price and good customer service. Those 3 points were met when I found Cool Diamonds on the Internet, and finally after a meeting in London.

I spend over 2 hours discussing basically everything, from the ring shape to details of the diamond. I ended up with a masterpiece: 0.5 carat diamond, D, VS1, 3x excellent (GIA certificate) in white gold. The seller, Mark, was honest with me and the whole conversation was in really friendly atmosphere.

The ring was send to me in a lovely wooden box, ready to pop the question :)

The team there gave me a fair price and their expert craftsmen (or woman in this case) created a beautiful engagement ring to my specifications which to this day my partner cannot stop smiling at.

I have always been very apprehensive about buying online, especially something of such high value. Thankfully they had a showroom in London, I was told numerous times by friends to buy a GIA certified diamond and was happy that Cool Diamonds sells nothing but GIA. When visiting their show room in London, they talked me through all the various styles of ring, I had a basic idea of what style I wanted, they took there time and I did not feel rushed at all. When it came down to choosing the diamond I was blown away with how knowledgable the member of staff was, he told me everything about the 4c's and by the end of it I new exactly what diamond I wanted, I decided to go for an Excellent cut diamond!! The ring was completed with in 2 weeks and due to work commitments was sent to me. The ring looked beautiful and my fiancé is extremely happy. As it was a surprise I was re-assured with the 30 day money back guarantee.... no need for it though!!

The elegant entrance without a diamond in sight made me wonder what I would find when I was around Greville st/Hatton Garden. I rang the bell and I had a quiet professional welcome before being taken through a complex set of high security doors. When I reached the sales room I had my own individual expert to talk to, he seemed to have all the time in the world for me. We looked at all sorts of designs. He drew out of me what I liked and what I was worried about. He suggested designs which would be modern, stylish but safe and comfortable to wear while doing sports. Having purchased an unusually shaped engagement ring Cool Diamonds were able to provide expert advice on the best way to compliment it. The finished result is amazing and the two rings look like they were made as a set. We couldn't have been happier with the service that Cool Diamonds provided, from the initial discussion to the after sales care - they come highly recommended by us.

We got my engagement ring and both our wedding rings from cool diamonds and I have recommended them to all my friends since! Their customer service is excellent and they really take their time with you to make sure you pick your dream ring. We spent hours trying on different styles and ended up customising slightly one of their designs. Then they copied the band of the engagement ring to make a wedding ring which matched perfectly. The sales assistants and ring designers offered helpful advice on what they thought would look best but I never felt pressurised to make a decision. I was at the time and am still now 3 years on absolutely in love with the results - amazing quality. The CoolDiamonds web site is excellent. You can customise and view in 3D all of the designs and get an instant price. There's great information about choosing a stone which is great for the uninitiated and allows you to balance size, qualit, colour and match with your chosen design.

If you don't fancy buying online direct from the website, it's well worth paying a visit to the store in Hatton Garden. The staff in the shop are knowledgeable and welcoming, and give great, balanced advice. I never felt under pressure to buy and they worked within my budget to get the very best stone and setting.

It's great to know that the work is done onsite by their skilled jewellers so if you want a particular design they haven't got on the website they can always design and build it for you, as well as doing minor modifications like resizing.

The store itself is not a particularly grand one, being a little small. However, this meant it was a comfortable and quiet place to decide on a purchase. The environment makes you feel more of an individual - never "just another customer". Also a relatively small premises presumably means lower overheads = lower prices!

Given the great service and value for money we received - a beautiful engagement ring for my beautiful wife - we also got our wedding bands from Cool Diamonds and I've recommended them to any friends considering buying rings or other diamond jewellery, safe in the knowlege they'll not be disappointed.

To get this level of personal service and individuality of product these days is a rare thing. To get it at an affordable price is unbelievable.
