Westworld

The shop is brilliant and i enjoyed shopping in there. I am deffinatly going back as i have done before. I found the layout of the clothing excellent as it is better when men's and womens clothing is seperated. I did not asked for help by the staff which i found very good as i knew what i wanted and went and got it and was so much better without a sales assistant around you all the time asking if you need help. I would have liked to know about sales if there was any on at that time or even future sales, that would have been very helpful. But, overall i found this store very good.

I purchased 2 items under 7 days ago. It was difficult to try on the clothes as there are only 2 tiny changing room with no mirrors inside and the only mirror is one outside the changing room. I returned these items 6 days later only to be told I could only have a credit note and the shop assistant pointed to a scrap of paper taped to a wall behind the till. It was impossible to read this returns policy from where the customer would stand to pay for the items. He also said the returns policy was on the door of the shop which was always kept open! and on the receipt. No good on the receipt after you have paid for the item. Extremely unhappy and will not be shopping there again. Rubbish service and couldn't even shop the items due to lack of sizes in store.

Junction 32 - Westworld Outlet Castleford:

I went to buy a pair of shorts and ended up with some smart Bench cut offs. During my first visit the shop was crowded with two small busy changing rooms. The music was aweful - grundgy non-descript urban music. I arrived at the till and enquired about the sizing - the shorts were 28 inch waist. I was reliably informed that it was a size 10 and I'm a stock size 10. I got them home to try as I couldn't access the changing rooms, there was a massive queues. They didn't fit. 'Never mind', I thought, 'I'll take them back and get a size up.' I went back 14 days later and there were loads of size 28 inch waists and no other sizes in that particular design available. I went to the till and asked for my money back. 'Our returns policy' I was told ' is an exchange or a credit note. We don't give money back.'She pointed to an A4 piece of paper taped to the back wall that was unreadable. So once Westworld have your money (that's it eventhough the sizing is up the spout!) they hold on to it.I managed to find another pair of shorts that I liked and fit me and used my credit note.Needless to say, I will not be shopping there again. In this day and age, whilst there is nothing by law to compell a retailer to offer a 'no hassle returns policy', I believe it is necessary to maintain good customer satisfaction and service. After all there's alot of competition out there. sorry westworld - I note that Benchhave a website which has a hassle free returns policy - interesting!! S.Patrick - York

Good modern streetwear/club wear designs.

The menswear section doesn't have a huge amount of stock in as floor space upstairs is limited, but the clothes are generally modern, stylish and reasonably priced for brand/designer. But given the limited stock/designs it's usually a case of if you see something you like, buy it there and then, because it might not be there when you return. I've had "Sorry, we don't have any left in that size/design" a few times.

Generally a pretty cool shop, always friendly staff and somewhere I'll always check out.
